Do you need to modify the frame to use the Shower injectors, I thought that would only be required if using the 748R or RS larger capacity airbox, which is why I was hinting above about a custom airbox that would allow the use of 748R throttle bodies in a Bip frame. Your right about the inlet manifolds and inlet side rocker covers. The IWP069 Pico injectors in the R throttle bodies flows 491cc/min quite alot more than the existing ones, but possibly still something that could be handled by the existing chip and power commander. But with all these issues I would be considering using the existing throttle bodies and ECU and changing the injectors for ones with a higher flow rate such as those I already mentioned, if its only a matter of meeting the fuel demand for the 955 kit and cam. But to get the maximum power then you may have to think about the 54mm throttle bodies |
Yeah, at the beginning I was thinking about bigboring std TB to 54mm and add high pressure fuel pump (4,5 or 5 bars, have to see). For ECU, idea was to add PC III USB. Changing the injectors wasn't in my plan but now I think it would be a full good package. My aim is only to have an injection fitted with the kit and cams. But when looking for ideas, I saw many other solutions. Now, it's clear, I have to keep my first intention. Thanks a lot guys. |

Are you sure of that? |
Nope, hence me asking the question. Out of the 5 frames I have only my 996 doesn't have the Kyalami frame and as I'm happy with the way it performs with its standard twin injector throttle bodies I haven't looked into fitting the 748RS throttle bodies I have to it. |
Just fit a Corse fuel regulator for the higher pressure and one of Brad the Bikeboys chips and you should be fine. |

Don't worry this question was only for my personnal knowledge. My 2 options are: P1: high pressure fuel pump (already have it) and rebored TB to 54 (for the fun). Perhaps bigger injectors (not sure at the moment). P2: P8 and SPS injection (have 1 opportunity and not more work in rebuilding engine) Thx for all infos you gave me.:) |
