3 seasons entries - £7.5k 1 sorted bike that can win (even on a budget by buying a prepped bike and spending almost nothing else) - £2k (and that assumes you stay in one class) food and travel - £3k (£1k/season, and that is optimistic at only ~£120/weekend) Trackdays, crashes, anything else -£1,500 So that is an absolute minimum, no matter who you are of £14k.... How much is an 1199? Or, look at it another way.... Your 848 and a Class A bike will cost you pretty much an 1199 even before you start any racing this year. |
I am totally jealous, even if I could afford 15k or whatever I just couldn't do it on a bike, same as 2k on a watch; much as I want one, and could make it affordable, I just couldn't seems different if you spend the same amount on several things, go figure :D and my 848, the A bike and a years racing won't cost me the same as an 1199 :biaggi: Enjoy Neal - I'm looking forward to seeing the first one on the road :) |

£2.5k for entries (just DD) £2k for a Class A .... That is without incidentals/extras/crashes/food/upgrades or prep. Looks pretty close to me, and doesn't include any losses in selling the B bike..... But if you need to kid yourself, away you go. |
Neal, When you pick it up you have to stop past my house and show it off. |

I don't intend paying that much that would cover my entries and tyres Unless you've added in Test days £220 a round 8 rounds = £1760 7 Rounds = £1540 Hopefully 4 sets of tyres for around £600 depending on how I get hold of them, ie. pick-up in person or posted out to me Just met up with Everton at Lunchtime he put his deposit down on one at JHPs on Friday to replace his RSV4, which I must admit sounded like a bag of spanners when it pulled up at H-cafe earlier If I had the money spare I'd wait unti the 2nd year before buying a new model as the first customers seem to do a lot of product testing these days |
how about we keep on thread eh rather than squabble ;) I know some others who have bought one too, apparently all the Tric's are sold! Lovely looking paint scheme that |

Plus a few extras such as Termi Exhaust. Never does seem to stop at just the standard bike, shame they have to come with emission compliant Exhausts as they are often the first things replaced |
off thread a little but connected....I had to take the Akros off my 848 to fit the b'work on last night. From here on in, I will never have a bike with std exhaust again!! Light as a feather they were...so I can see now why people spend the dosh on these extras as well as making it look a little better and sound better what extras Neal; cans, carbon....? |
haven't bothered ordering any extras yet. i'll wait till they're available in a years time!! |
