One previous post on the board that you may or may not have picked up on is that the rear shock comes with virtually zero preload as standard and the bike feels a lot better with more preload and a bit of suspension set up, although admittedly you're rather sylph like in comparison to my stella belly physique:lol:

Shaun, you're so kind :D

I will be carrying a passenger, i.e. my wife all 8 stones of her so would welcome any suspension setup advice out there :):)

Yep the "standard" preload setting is the minimum!:puzzled:Yet it says standard half way up the adjuster!
Some folks,me included, seam to find that standard (as marked) plus two clicks is a good start for the preload. As for the damping,Ive set mine one full turn out from max hard.
Works for me!

Dave. well done m8
me wrists are ache ing (ok, hold all the snotty comments...dirty minded lot you are) from leaning over the bloooduke's bars, so woz thinking of a bit more "sit up and beg" riding position
undecided Monster or Multi strada or just suffer the wrist agony
sounds like big time fun
enjoy it
