Trophy it is, then, Kev!

Looking good!

Its easy to look good when I'm going that much slower than the top guys.

At last years Thruxton round I couldn't get the 916 Strada to pull up the hill towards the chicane, in the open race I had 600s passing me. Later found the air temp sensor had dropped from its location to finaly rest behind the radiator. Don't think that did a lot for the fueling curve.
hopefully I'll not have any problems this year.
Thruxton is one of those circuits that has very limited track time for bikes and although this will be my 4th visit I'm still learning the circuit and totaly enjoying it.

Pit entry is free, entry to the circuit is usually about £10 for a club meeting with children under a certain age (14 I think) free.

Practice starts at 08:55 and is then suspended from 09:20 to 10:45 for the CHURCH BREAK (good time to arrive). I expect racing itself to commence at or just before 11:30

That was the 748 Steve, since I got home this morning I have taken all the Yellow road kit off the bike, rear pegs, indicators and mirrors, Fitted a red tank after fitting a plug onto the pump wires, changed the later 65mm calliper forks for my reworked for racing ones along with their 40mm callipers complete with Ferodo CP911* pads mated to a Brembo radial master cylinder that sits on slightly longer bars. New rear pads have been fitted and the back brake bled up.
I have now been up for 24hrs and still have a bit to do.
Will hopefully have time to take a couple of pics when finished

No time for the Tea or Bacon Sarnies,
Anti freeze now drained and replaced with water.
Also just been around a mates to look at his 900SSie that he got a short while back, he tells me its tank slapping everywhere and is no fun to ride. Has a Ohlins in the rear with a 8.5kg/mm spring on it, it has far to much sag in the rear so I have left him sorting that while I hop on my PC and visit the Ohlins web site for info.

its all go at this end, on top of that they are shutting the road at the top of my close later because of the speedway.

nearly finished, just need to remove the number plate and rear indicators plus sidestand from the 916 and add race numbers (149) along with DSC stickers.
The 748 also has a few minor bits to do to it.

Still here are the pics
