Never nod at courriers. They are a miserable bunch of gits when they're riding, and then they expect you to smile sweetly at them when you're signing for their package :flame: Any courriers in this club? Ooops ;) |
And, if not dangerous to do so, thank motorists for moving over for you in traffic. It encourages them and other drivers and stops them getting mad about you getting out of a jam when they can't. |
Rockhopper, try not extending the index and middle fingers often gets a negitive result. I all ways give em a wave, if and when I spot em and it seems to give them some thing to smile about, bit like the AA man in the good old days when they saluted you if you were a member, well I remember my Dad getting the treatment as Im not that old really:lol: Wave Wave 4D Oh ya a tip. When in doubt ,leave it out. in other words, if it looks like a dodgy move don't do it, hold back and don't take chances. [Edited on 10-7-2004 by Fordie] |
Here's one. If you have a 748/9**, check your bike carefully after riding over what British councils humourously refer to as "re-surfacing". Where they put down lots of loose chippings. The chipping fly up and can rest in the recesses in the bottom yolk, next to the lock-stops. As they're tarry and sticky, they tend to stay there. It's quite easy for them to jam in there against the lock-stop, so that the normal "limited lock" can easily become "no bloody lock at all"! :o Not too funny the next time you come to a T-junction!
