NTL broadband as you know mate. Every so often the e mail goes walkabout for 24 hours every 2-3 months. Connection to the internet has never failed since signing from AOL. Nearly a year on now.

AOL is seriously rubbish.

Dave,

I use Wannado, ex Freeserve. We have two subscriptions here because I do a lot of work from home and I can honestly say their reliability is 99%. I used to use BT but they have also sorts of firewall issues running VPNs

I know it's costly at 27.99 a month but then it never falls over :)

Hmmm....funny that everybody has different experiences with different providers.

I use BT, but I got it through the division that does their billing instead of BT Openworld. It's my personal broadband conection, but I've had no disconnects, no downtime and very robust bandwidth even though I use VPN extensively to work from home and use it for big downloads and uploads

Fair enough Jools ..

I work in IT professionally and you see everything in that time. I've dealt with guys embarrass me with their skills and guys whom I think are wasting my time.

Telewest have delivered me a balanced service but I'm a nice guy and can be quite bitter if you don't deliver - just ask HP!!!!

u2u me if you want details and some non-public advice.
