The tank is about half-full, and i have used it since it was dropped (prob about 15 miles - had to bloody get out of there before she did it again!), so i'm not so sure its the overflow - that would have stopped by now wouldn't it?

Anyway, its not coming from the overflow pipe itself, more like out of the tank near the seat.

Jody
Sorry to hear about that, its an regreable way to end a relationship.

It takes a lot to split a tank I would think one of the pipes leading to the tank pump has splitor come lose, and the bolt holding the tank has also come lose and thats why you can`t lift up your seat.
Really you need to move the tank into the correct postion so you can take your seat off to have a look under the tank to see what the damage is.

You were lucky you got away riding it 15 miles:o

Ok, thanks very much for the suggestions. I'll try to get the seat and tank off tonight to see if any of the pipes are split, or if the tank has just come loose.

I'll let u know how I get on!

take her out on a ride, and pull a sudden wheelie on her... It's all an accident.

Typer77, brilliant idea. Funny and effective! Jodycraw, in spite of the 'criminal damage' you sound incredibly calm. I'd be spitting blood if that happened to me (clearly, my girlfirends know how to behave themselves!). Have you considered getting a quote to repair ALL the damage and sending it to her? If she won't pay up, threaten to take her to the small claims court. In an ideal world, you'd get your insurance company to do the repairs, submit your witness's statement with your claim and they would claim the costs back from her. Unfortunately, insurance companies can't be arsed and you just end up losing your no claims bonus! Hope you get it sorted out. Try to be a bit more selective in your choice of girlfried in future. Top priority when vetting, complete devotion to your motor bike (rather than the things you probably look for first in a woman. Big tits ARE NOT the be all and end all, OK?) ::flame:

Is that the female equivalent of the male: It's not what you've got, it's how you use it :lol::lol:

Might be. You missed a cracking day out, yesterday, Henners. I hear you didn't come out to play cos it was a bit wet. Is that right?
