.....just ask NBs & Dibble - who have both had a blatt (I mean bimble) on her majesty...... Dibble didnt like the softer set up - compared with his 996, but then its just right for me (and I'm a few pounds lighter than donut boy:devil:) but he did like the rest - inc acceleration.

I borrowed Italia's 1000DS while the M/strada was in for a service.I was very impressed. Its got the same motor as the Numptystrada but felt a lot livelier.Summat to do with lower weight/differant gearing?Well reccomended.
Mrs.KB has got the 900ie Monster Metallic, very similar package, just loses out in top end urge. There's just something about those 2-valvers!

Problem is i couldnt afford a 1000DS one or probably even an S4R so it'll have to be an older M900 really.

Dukerob 27-Jul-2004 17:55

you can pick up a 900 for good cash and that'll keep with a 1000 or a S4R no problem with the right rider I'm sure :frog:

was that Ripley video any good apart from the rain and Andy's ginga hair ?

rockhopper 28-Jul-2004 17:01

Funny thing about the Ripley video Rob was that even though you were very loud, its actually come out a bit quiet on the tape! And i was a bit shakey. If i get chance tonight i'll make a cd. I dont have a DVD writer so it will be a bit ropey quality but its good enough to see you styling it up for the crowd (!)

M900's are about £2500 which is nice. I'd prefer an injected one just for convenience though. Did they do an FI M900?

I've decided i dont want an S4 or S4R, i've got enough money problems paying to keep the ST4 running! The 2 valve engines are much more reliable. That doesnt mean i wont turn down a ride on yours though Daz!!

M900ie - produced early 1999 to late 2002 (I think dates are correct).
Not seen many for sale, tho Queen gravel pants was going to be selling hers a short while ago.:puzzled: also, ones I have seen for sale, were not going cheap either.
