The Foggy reps were a higher spec 916 sps and were called a 916 sps - though they had a 996 engine and a wider frame for the new airbox(I think - Baylissboy will confirm):) [Edited on 29-7-2004 by STEVE M] |
A couple of points: 1/No, I wouldn't part with cash without seeing it first, but then again I don't want to go to Taunton ('specially in Holiday season) - if it's a bit pikey. 2/ In the techcafe artical it states that they are Ohlins - must be a misprint?!?!?! http://www.ducati.com/bikes/techcafe...alue=technical ....select the 916 SPS Technical Specification at the bottom of the page. 3/ Sometimes you do get a bargain.... Still none the wiser.. Paul [Edited on 29-7-2004 by fatduke11111] |
Looks fairly genuine only with those fairings it is not a 98 model as they only had a small Ducati decal on the side. Also the pipes that are in the photo look like 45mm mid section with the step with baffles in although difficult to tell from those pictures Why not try and get a frame number and get it checked? Ps 955's never had five spokes first ones fitted standard were 996SPS 1999 (real Marchesinis not Brembo) |
I put the reg no into this RAC check here and got a strange reply??? |
Cheer David... A scooter Combination? - Huh? Could be a personalised plate but I doubt it! Steer Clear now I guess... Cheers Paul |
But the colour was right:roll: |
STEVE M You are quite correct (for once),916SPS 996 engine, ohlins rear shock, ohlins steering damper, showa forks, three spoke wheels, carbon air box etc, Foggy rep 916SPS 996 engine, ohlins rear shock, ohlins steering damper, showa forks, five spoke (black) wheels, modified frame(a allow for larger air box),special engine cases, carbon air box etc!! The bike in the advert looks like a "97" 916SPS to me!! |
Paul:- We always know Red is right! Cheers Paul;) |
Did he really go from Taunton to Cambridge to pick up the TV or did he pay the extra £40+ for delivery I wonder!! Has any one rung him? |
