Picked up a copy this morning and read through it properly. While it is a bit on the negative side, it is very accurate don't you think?

Most of us have faced some of these problems with our bikes over the years of ownership and it's good for new/prospective owners to know that these things are common and very easy to fix in most cases.

Neil was on holiday last week, but he sent me a text to say that Bike are restarting his new & used columns in the magazine after a lot of calls asking where they had gone! Nice that he got a big plug in for the club too.

True that most of the problems are easy to fix and are well documented but its not so good that the fixes cost so much money.

Just think of it as exclusivity tax :lol:

Thats very true actually. My ST4 and Lynns Monster were parked side by side at Darley Moor on Sunday and several people stopped to watch us start up and ride off. No one was doing that to the jap bikes.

i too bought bike mag and was well chuffed to find the buying guide,its nowhandily filed away in my office for when i finally manage to sell my r6 and get a 748, and its good to find such a helpful site

not very accurate really 6000mls out of a clutch :o 15500 mls and mines still going strong ??? £600 odd for a service :o my 12000 cost £484 ??? chain and sprockets wear fast :o it's no worse then jap 4's iv'e owned

Regards the article, they only want to write stuff that they think people want to hear anyway, whether its true or not.
I dont care if no one else in the whole world never buys a duke, I know I love and cherish mine and think more of it than any other bike I have owned or thought of getting.

The BIG advantage of yellow ones is that they are not so noticable when on the back of AA trucks:rolleye:
