Best live performabce

Gun n Roses at Milton Keynes 91ish pretty good. Axl didn't throw any wobblies though!! Captain Sensible at the Plaza Leisure Centre many moons ago. The mighty Hamsters has got to be one of the best live bands I've seen for a very long time. Rock on!!!

only the second half of the show, - once Joe Walsh got em going.

Best Live album; If you want Blood you've got it. AC/DC.

Best Live shows I have seen. AC/DC Hammersmith Odeon Highway to Hell or Powerage tour, 'bout 1979 i think and the day i developed tenitus for life, - still got the ringing in my ears now. And then The Wateboys in the mid 80's playing in Kilburn.
Other good gigs: Thin Lizzy Original lineup again Hammi Odeon, Blackfoot, - Ricky Medlock best frontman ever (now with Lynyrd Skynyrd). Motorhead with Saxon supporting (we got wheels of steel!!!!), - Judas Priest, The Hooters (weird US band but great fun), Fast Freddies Fingertips (again great show and fun songs), the Boogie Brothes Blues Band at the Mandela Ball, Albert Hall. Original Status Que lineup at Hammi Odeon.
And a couple of odd but great fun shows, - Gary Glitter, - I know but they guy was such a laugh, - and then Slade, - agin so great to not take it so seriously.
Biggest Let down show seen; Blue Oyster Cult.

I've never lived have I...?

Has to be Prince...on his Diamonds and Pearls tour. Took my mate to see him for her birthday and WOW...Never seen a show like it. That guy could play a toothbrush if you let him!
Bit of a numpty in my book but not after that!

Close second has to be COLDPLAY...Just for the sheer energy that Chris Martin puts into the performance.

Lenny Kravitz...BIG LET DOWN...Music good but he was a pretentious TW4T!

Going to see Keane and SnowPatrol in November...So that could all change!:sing:

The Offspring at Selena's (nightclub at the Coogee Bay Hotel in Sydney). It was so good I lost a shoe.

Smashing Pumpkins at some pub somewhere in Melbourne (sorry, thats the best I can do - the only thing I really remember was that they wouldn't come out for an encore and that they were throwing buckets of water on us because it was so hot. And something about a taxi not stopping for us as we were wandering down the street in our jeans completely wet! Oh yeah and no shirts on ...)

Chilli's at Hyde Park was damn good.

Jane's Addiction at the Hammersmith Apollo (had wanted to see them for a decade and they didn't disappoint - Perry Farrel is a real showman! And to see Dave Navarro playing was cool!)

Powderfinger at the Hammersmith Apollo

Powderfinger in Dublin

Powderfinger in Surfers Paradise (yes I am a BIG Powderfinger fan ...)

I was at a Paul Kelly concert last night in the smallest venue I've been in (Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush) (no doubt you wouldn't have heard of him)

And my wife is off to see Madonna tonight at Wembley, not my cup of tea though ...

Have to say also that Alice Cooper was superb at Bournemouth.

As were a group called Must who supported Def Leppard in Bournemouth. Very good mix and a bit U2ish.

Robert Palmer. Nuff said. :frog::frog::frog:

One of the best bands I ever saw was a group called "The Flying Saucers" from Corby in Northants, I watched them play several times in the Red Lion Pub at the back of the Metropolitan Hotel in Dubai.

Anyone else ever seen ot heard from this band, the lead singer was bald but could sing so well.

i was walking thro gatwick airports arrivals lounge, on my way to meet my sister coming from the usa, not looking where i was going cause i was studying the note i had with sisters flight number etc and bang ! ...walked straight into someone, nearly knocked said person over, looked up to say "sorry mate" and imagine my surprise when i realised it was none other than the `pint sized pop star formally known as Prince`he just mumbled "its ok" and walked off.....
thats my claim to fame, that is !!!:smug:
