Paul ,Well done mate ,not only on converting what was all ready a "special" in the 2V world, but now going the whole hog and putting a real cracker for us all to appreciate on to circuit. As you no I have all ways been a 2V fan and I still regrets selling my 900SS so nowing I can see and hear your Blooo giving it some welly on track or ride out brings on a tingle .Lets put credit where its due and that's Nelly for doing the hands on and teccie stuff. Regards 4D

Ruth have you no imagination?...sex appeal. That is the answer.
Close your eyes and imagine exactly what each piece does...how it works...what movement it makes...how it moves...how you can feel the base of the engine throbbing through your bones... just standing close by it...how it smells... You can make it perform...
For goodness sake woman! did your mother not teach you ANYTHING?

;):P:devil:

After reading that, I've got a tent pole in my jeans......

:lol: no! If i had, would not be able to do this job :lol:

Redruth 20-Jan-2005 13:24

Is the clue in your Avatar?

It's funny how the same terminology can mean one thing to one person and something altogether different to another :D:D

I was only teasing though :bouncy

I know this club has a strict vetting procedure, anyway. Or was that just for me :lol:

How about an ode for Mort?...

I wandered lonely as a cloud,
and lagged behind those four valve things
'til I got some testarossa heads
and gave my old Blooo Duke some wings

One hundred horsepowers worth of steam,
light in weight and nimble too,
with torque that 996's dream
it's hard to catch a Duke that's Blooo

Redruth 20-Jan-2005 18:09

Bloody 'ell Jools. You have hidden talents!

Are you bored or som'ing :lol:

ali 20-Jan-2005 18:39

There are many Ducatis
Ridden by fatties
And a few with thin riders too
But none which were faster
Than Mort's master blaster
The duke that was ever so blooo

There's a club on the web
Where the major celeb
Hasn't four valves, or three valves, but two
An ancient design
Bought forward in time
It's the duke that everyone knew

When quizzed in debate
Nelly did state
"Aye, it's quick for a Blooo!"
But he never displayed
The graph where it made
That magical hundred point two!

TP 20-Jan-2005 18:55

Very well done Ali, you freakin nerd!!

Mark 20-Jan-2005 19:06

 Alie, I was told today to get out more......... You should take head my friend!

Where's the bucket, think I'm gonna puke again today!

Jools and Ali
:D:lol::D:lol::D:lol:
abso blurdy lutely brill
and the dyno run graphs are being sent to KB (the pretty one) to scan and once thats done Im sure Nelly and KB will post them here
Smile is as big as ever
Im sooooooooo proud, and yup, it aint been cheap, but Blooo is a one and only precious thing
If I get the nerve up, it may surprise one or two of the "faster boys" at Jerez

This project has been well worth the wait, angst, heartache, cash spent, and finally the unveilling ceremony at the dyno

Lets hope Mort can do her justice now

nelly 22-Jan-2005 16:11

One dyno graph.....................

Red line is crank, blue at the front sprocket and green at the wheel.
There's a comparative reading on the dyno of 78 bhp or so. This was another 900SSie with cans, air filter and ecu mod.

Bloo Dukes nutz are now of the extremely large and hairy variety.......

Loz 22-Jan-2005 16:40

This phrase is kind of over-used now, but ....

Sorted!

Nice one, chaps.

Redruth 23-Jan-2005 15:17

Love the poem, Ali. I think we need a new forum, 'Poets' Corner'. Just to keep the besotted drivel off this 'non DSC idle chat board':lol::lol:

Mort, have a fantastic time in Jerez. I'm sure you will but look after that Bloo Baby and be sure to post piccies when you get back.

Regards
Ruth :D:D

kwikbitch 23-Jan-2005 15:22

Looking at the footage that I edited yesterday I am seriously worried about my "uncle Mort"...I really dont think he'll be able to handle all that torque...and the sound of the cans will definately get through those custom made ear plugs.
Perhaps we ought to swap and you have my "safer" 750s and I will look after Bloo...For health and safety reasons Obviously:devil:
Oh... does anyone want to watch Bloo on the dyno or....???
...it's just me thats completely SAD then!:P

KeefyB 23-Jan-2005 18:49

What a bike! (Slight reservation on the colour tho!;) )
A rolling advert for nelly's superb work.
Full report and article for Pronto please!

Mort,you are one lucky man.

phil_h 24-Jan-2005 15:33

Actually, I'd quite like another look down that inlet ...
What do you mean ! It's not against the law after all, and I like it !

For comparison, I'll scan and post my dynojet + K&N + silmoto's 73bhp curves that I was very pleased with until a few minutes ago :sniff:

Iconic944ss 25-Jan-2005 11:47

phillc 04-Jul-2005 11:22

Just trawling through some old threads here. I'm still amazed by this bike. Wish I had the money to spend on mine to crank it out to his spec!

Anyone know how to set that MP3 as my ring tone?

Nice work again Nelly.

kwikbitch 04-Jul-2005 14:24

Thanks phillc...this thread is a heart warming read!
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D :D:D

Jools 04-Jul-2005 15:35

Heart warming indeed.

What's to become of Bloo Duke? It would be fabulous to see it being ridden as Mort intended. A fitting legacy.

Desmondo 04-Jul-2005 16:03

I know I'm thinking way too far ahead, but maybe it could make an appearance on the BMF stand next year? :)

andys 900ss 04-Jul-2005 17:45

I remember Nelly playing the vid on the plane to Bologne and the trackday bloo was to run......

I'm sure bloo will 'live-on'.

Andy

Dibble 04-Jul-2005 20:33

Blooo duke will ride again, that I have I have on good authority is assured. :)
