bad luck darlin just hope some one does it to them in a few weeks you can move in here for a while but you'll have to be quiet. if the missus sees you there will be hell to pay :o:eureka::D |
Never been one to let the grass grow under my feet, I have found another absolutely perfect house which has the following VERY SPECIAL advantage:_ The garage has been converted into an office/playroom. 2 BT lines etc, so perfect home for my computer. Then I'm going to knock out the stud wall and half way down the garage put in patio doors. So I can sit at my desk and admire my bike at the same time. Was this house made for me, or what? Oh, and work will be less than 5 minutes walk, it's a beautifully restored Victorian 3 up 3 down with a lovely little back garden with decking, a gazebo and a bit of grass, so fantastic for parties. The owners are going to Australia and want to move in March and it's £10K less than the last house. And the woman wants me to have it as I can move the fastest! There, that has to be a record recovery, abject disappointment to elation in 3 days! :D:D:D |
brilliant stuff........................whens the house warming :D |
That's good news ruth, very pleased for you after your disappointment. Fingers crossed all goes well for you, and thats from an estate agent! |
Excellent News Ruth, like the idea of the Patio doors. I can see my 998 through my Patio doors but to do so I have to pop into the back garden to look through them into the back room of the house. |
alls well that ends well -good luck with this one saved 10k thats a nice result!!well done only taken an interest in the thread cos the same happened to me a few years ago with some land that i could have built my dream home on- sa la vie-history now |

Once again, thanks for your comments you lot. I'm back for a 2nd viewing with Joanna this afternoon. I was going to go on the bike but I'm still hungover from last night's celebrations, I'm afraid. :sing::sing::sing: Mutters, there'll be a housewarming party definitely but I haven't quite got round to planning it yet. Sorry. I really should pull my finger out, shouldn't I. Skidlids, I must see your house sometime. Ali's told me it's basically just like a garage throughout! |
£10K left to spend on another bike for the stable too..:D |
Give me a call when you want your patio door Ruthy (you can trust me I own a window company) :D:D:D |
Right Eric. I shall do. I took Jo with me this afternoon and she knew within seconds of arriving that it is THE PERFECT HOUSE for me. So all the things that didn't quite go right last year and this year, not to mention all the things that went horrendously awry, there was a reason for all of them. And you're all invited to my houswarming, as long as you don't mind spilling over into the street. Bring a sleeping bag, and bear in mind that the copshop is almost my closest neighbour so ... so I'll be getting quite friendly with the boys in blue RESULT ! I do love a uniform. |
And Mr S my new bike with be a) a DD race bike next year or b) MV Augusta when I qualify. And that spare £10K is going (in part) on a fabulous new bathroom, a walk in wardrobe in the loft and booze for my housewarming party. |
A mate of mine, had a similar thing happen to him, when selling his Ducati,he felt really, really let down as well, when he lost the sale, right near to exchanging !!! But there you go,people,eh ! :sing::sing::sing::sing::sing::alien::yawn::puzzle d:;) |
Sorry for not replying sooner Ruth...Positivity thats my girl... Similar thing happened to us and the house we ended up with was Ten times better than the one we lost!!! Can we come to stay now???....:P;) Hopefully I can get a bike trailer and the twins can babysit whilst we go and churn up the summer dust!!!!:devil::devil: |
Roof! - sounds great that you have found a gem so quickly. Hope all the necessaries go smoothly for you - and also looking forwards to the party!:D C xx |

Simon, if you are referring to what I think you are then that is one of the most disappointing posts in the history of these boards. Grow up. |

Great news. Exchanged contracts on my dream house today. When I say dream, became a nightmare and took bloody months to sell but finally there. Out next week. Thank F*ck. I predict I will be in my new house by 1st April at the latest. Party party! :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy: [Edited on 3-3-2005 by Redruth] |
