Just carefully ease the fairing away from the bike. They do come away easily. they look good underneath.

chicken 18-Apr-2005 21:07

cool - thanks Adam. Will play tonight.

deej 18-Apr-2005 21:21

thanks twinfan

as i said i may be wrong it wasnt in my catalogue

try trax models and see what they send you, theyve been pretty good with me

baylissboy 19-Apr-2005 17:29

Don't want to appear smug,but i've got a Bayliss 2000 model!!

The only problem is i'm after the other rare ones!!:ninja:

adam 19-Apr-2005 17:35

they are out there, just need to part with big pound notes to get them.

Jasper 19-Apr-2005 20:27

Baylissboy, what you need to do is get rid of that common Bayliss 2000 and get a rare one like the Bostrom 2000!!:D

deej 19-Apr-2005 20:31

how can you tell the difference between the 00 bostrom and the 01 bostrom, ive got a bostrom but was never a great fan of his

why the fuss about the bayliss 2000 too, whats so special about that 1 ???

Jasper 19-Apr-2005 20:56

Basically the Bayliss and Bostrom bikes are the same as the Foggy 2000.Ie Infostrada Corse colours. The reason they are so rare is because both Bostrom and Bayliss only did half a season on them.Bayliss 'cos he replaced Foggy after his crash and Bostom becuase he got sacked.Sorry,a sideways move to another team!Any bike from 2000 is uncommon, because they were all alot more of a limited run compared to now.

Bionicle 19-Apr-2005 21:01

@Jasper

Im just waiting to see if the paint rubs off :)

deej 19-Apr-2005 21:06

thats what i thought

ws it 5 years ago thast foggy crashed, didnt bayliss only do 2 meetings that year and be replaced borja who did surprisingly well

they were definetly a lot more limited back then, i can remember the original 99 foggy bike selling out within days then they decide to re-release the models and ours have gone down in value

Jasper 19-Apr-2005 21:10

Yep,that's right.Bionicle,if it does You can have it,i'll just cancel the cheque!!!:D

Bionicle 19-Apr-2005 23:12

 Jasper your too kind :)

Jasper 19-Apr-2005 23:21

If i can peel the stickers off it will look a little bit like your avatar!

Sorry Jasper, but i'm after ALL the 996/998 race bikes,so what will YOU take for that old Bostrom bike,oh & that old test bike that's in the wrong box!!

I think i've located a Reynolds 2000 (47),but i think i'll have to pay strong money for it!!:sniff:

Hope the missus doesn't find out!!:ninja:

Twinfan 20-Apr-2005 10:41

I should get my Reynolds 2000 (number 47) today :D

You've probably been speaking to my source, as has at least one other person...

I take it you need a Hodgson 2000 as well Mr Baylissboy? I think you like Ford Cosworths too?? ;)

Yes,you're correct,i do need the Hodgson 2000!
I take it that your Reynolds 2000 is coming from overseas!!
The only ones i need to complete my collection of 996/998 race bikes released to date are the ultra rare ones!!:sniff:
Ie Hodgson 2000
Reynolds 2000
Corser 1999
Bostrom 2000
oh & that one that jasper just out bid me on,Foggy 2000 test bike!!
Nevermind,i'm sure i'll get there!!
PS no interest in Cosworths,i see enough of those things at work!!

Twinfan 20-Apr-2005 13:51

Yep, my Reynolds is coming from overseas. I'll be picking it up from the local DHL depot tonight :D I wonder how many our mystery supplier can get? I think I got the last one 'in stock'.

I'm still not convinced about that Foggy test bike you know - it's not an official release so maybe it's a prototype of some kind???

I'm collecting all the BSB related bikes to date and I have them all except the Hodgson 2000. I'll find one eventually, but I'm not paying stupid money for one!

Looks like you've been stripping their parts and flogging them on eBay

Yes,our supplier told me he'd just sold the last one he'd got in stock, but he say's he can get a couple more,i've been promised one of those!!
I agree with you,i don't like paying over the odds for them but needs must i suppose!!
I keep kicking myself, because at first i only collected the ones i liked the look of,so i could have had them all for the RRP if i'd bought them as they came out!! Now you have to pay silly money for the early ones, but if you want to complete the collection you have to bite the bullet!!
I'll buy all the latest ones as they come out from now on!!
I think i'll have to move into the 999 & Moto GP race bikes as the 998's get fazed out!!
But i'll only ever collect the Ducati ones, you'd need a lottery win if you wanted them all!!

Steve M 20-Apr-2005 14:35

I was in a model shop in the Trafford centre (Manchester) last weekend - the bloke in there said that new stock was of MiniChamp models was due in 2 weeks. All they had left were various Monsters.

Might be worth a phone call to see what they've got coming.

Twinfan 20-Apr-2005 15:00

I've been in that shop before - they don't have much stock in and only the new stuff normally. Might pop in at the weekend though...

If it's the correct one, it could be sorted with TLC and a little superglue...

that's the GSE 100# bike i think i have ?
It's the INS number 4 Hodgson bike that's rare, you'd best have a look when you get in tonight!

If you've got the right one you may start a bidding war!!(That's if it's for sale)!!

Mr_S 20-Apr-2005 15:55

So this bike is rare then?

http://www.collectiques.net/shop/cat...i/hodgson.html

Cos it's been in a box in my cupboard for a few years

Twinfan 20-Apr-2005 16:11

Yep, that's a fairly rare one. Do you want to sell it :)

Mr_S 20-Apr-2005 17:04

I'd be interested in selling as I don't really collect them and only bought it on a whim.

Thing is I've no idea what it's worth at the moment, so I'm open to offers but will research its value first (how the hell I'm going to start that I don't know though...)

adam 20-Apr-2005 17:41

looks like i have found a reynolds going for 85 euros including postage, just waiting for confirmation that it is the 2000 model. yahoooo.

I havent limited myself to collecting one make or type such as WSB, i will be going for most of them, i know it will take some time but I will get there.

Mr_S 20-Apr-2005 18:02

So would my 2000 INS Hodgson bike be as rare (and therefore as valuable ) as the either

1999 Corser Bike #11

or

2000 Bayliss #21

adam 20-Apr-2005 18:15

the corser is worth a lot more, then the Bayliss then hodgson. I think i am right, come on then Mr S how much do you want for your Hodgson?

Mr_S 20-Apr-2005 18:47

Asked about the others because of seeing these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=51754983 27

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=51666318 86

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=51666300 51

So if the Hodson is of slightly less rarity, I'd be looking around the £250-£300 mark.

Although it looks like it may be worth e-baying.

Twinfan 20-Apr-2005 19:26

It's baylissboy who has the Bostrom...

Jasper 20-Apr-2005 19:31

Baylissboy,I'll do a deal for my Bostrom AND Hodgson for your Bayliss....!:o

Twinfan 20-Apr-2005 19:44

I personally don't think the Hodgson is worth over £200. I certainly won't be paying crazy money for one. The 1999 Corser is the most desirable and therefore deserving of crazy money.

adam 20-Apr-2005 20:23

agree with TF between £150-£200, there is one on ebay now, Baylissboy is going for it.

adam 20-Apr-2005 20:25

If I see a Corser come up then i will be sending the wife out on the final day of bidding, couldnt have her around when the pound notes start to rise.:D

Mr_S 20-Apr-2005 20:33

OK,

I've put the ebay one into my watch list, and whatever it sells for I'll sell mine for.

Seem fair?

adam 20-Apr-2005 20:39

Can i have first call Mr S?

Mr_S 20-Apr-2005 21:57

Yep, no problem

Adam has first refusal on the Hodgson

adam 20-Apr-2005 22:02

Thankyou very much.

baylissboy 21-Apr-2005 10:05
