Best wishes to the guys from a lunch-time poster :frog:

Fella splattered himself and his Mille R into a rock-face at God-knows-what three-figure speed on the first day of our Scotland trip last year (amazingly no serious injuries).

Good thing about being in a group is knowing your friends will rally round.

ttstu 17-May-2005 21:20

Really releaved everyone survived. Two years ago we lost four members of the RSVR.net forum in the space of four months. Many gave up biking as a result. A deadfull time.

Take it easy Dibble. It's a great hobby but it's not worth....well you know.

RD 18-May-2005 10:21

Hello Dibs,

I'm happy that you're unscathed and I'm sorry to learn of the bad news about Kevin and his mate Fraser, I hope their on the mend ASAP.

Get well soon guys.

Richard.

Dibble 18-May-2005 13:17

I have just got off the phone to Kevin, (Webby was here with me so we rang him "hands free") and he seemed in good spirits, Fraser is on a plane as we speak back to the UK and Kevin has had his return delayed as he had extra x rays yesterday, he has spoken to the surgeon and expects his release form to be signed today .. so hopefully back in the next 48 hours .....

AK 18-May-2005 13:36

Cheers for that Dibs:)

chris99 18-May-2005 16:07

omg!

Glad your all ok!

All the best

Dibble 19-May-2005 10:50

ok, Fraser is now home and Kevin at 5 yesterday was still awaiting his release form to be signed .... more news to follow ....

Mark 19-May-2005 11:17

Fingers crossed mate.

Dibble 19-May-2005 12:55

Woo hoo, just spoken to Kevs wife, his release form has been signed and his insurers are now working on getting him home ........

Mark 19-May-2005 12:58

That's fantastic mate! Great news!

Lee1980 19-May-2005 13:00

Sheeesh sorrry to hear about this seems to be happening a lot lately, all the best for a speedy recovery.

TP 19-May-2005 13:00

Excellent news!

Does that mean he's going to be annoying the crap out of us on the board a la Domski?

:frog:

psychlist 19-May-2005 13:09

Nah! I heard that Tyreman's gonna get him a deck chair set up on his forecourt to keep his customers amused with sporting anecdotes :o

Dibble 20-May-2005 15:27

wooo hooo .... i'm on the phone to Kev now and he is on his own sofa enjoying a nice tomatoe and basil salad ..... sounds quite chirpy ....... He feels a lot better now .....

Mark 20-May-2005 15:30

Good news Dibble!

Welcome home Kev, enjoy the pampering!

Dibble 23-May-2005 11:15

More good news, Kevs looking bright eyed (well Red-Eyed as he's burst all his blood vessels) but he was sitting in his lounge Sunday morning with his feet up eating suasage and egg .... so I guess he's on the mend .....

Went over there with Webby and CK (who has a bad back, still, at least that means AK can spend more time servicing the DD bike and less time servicing CK ....)

AK 23-May-2005 11:36

:flame: Dibble, you cheeky git!:P

Kev is still rather 'fragile' but is def on the mend, tho its going to take a bit of time:)

Thank you all for your kind wishes and thoughts.
You have once again shown what this club is all about.
As you have read I am now back and although battered and brusied still have my devilish good looks and most of my bodiliy functions working again.
I can not convey enough to you all how much Dibble has helped during a most trumatic and difficult time for Fraser. me and our imediate family's.
Also the Guys that own the Bed and Breakfast ( The two Pauls) have been a shinning example, helping with everything from Bike storeage to food parcels.
You have surpassed yourselves again and being on the recvieving end of your kindness will help me overcome what was a most unfortunate and trumatic experience.
Thankyou once again and hope to be able to ride with you very soon.
Kind Regards
Kevin.

Brent 23-May-2005 19:46

Kevin,

Good to see the typing digits are working. :D

Keep mending, and look forward to seeing you out and about soon.

All the best

Dave

TP 23-May-2005 19:49

Nice to see you're back and sorted out now mate. Here's hoping for a quick insurance settlement and the bike sorted/new bike sorted quickly!

Do you know which way it's going yet? Repair or Replace?

Red-leader 23-May-2005 19:58

As a guess Tony I would say that it wont come back. Its in deepest France and would think the transportation alone would cost upwards of £800. From the pictures it looks a pretty sorry state.
I would be happy either way just as long as it quick. My main worry if they write it off is the argybargy with the settlement figure. Its never going to be enough to just pick another one up + all my gear has had it so we are looking at a big lump to find.
Still lets look on the bright side for now eh.
Regards Kev

Dibble 23-May-2005 20:04

always look on the bright side of life .. dada . dada . dada dada dada ..... mwah.

TP 23-May-2005 20:06

Ok - well I hope it works out and soon.

For now, take it easy and drink plenty of beer.

Mmmmmmmm ............... beer

Dibble 25-May-2005 16:13

Well all is now looking well ....

Just to show how lucky the guys were .. heres a pic ....

Kev and Fraser already have this image but I'm attaching it rather than hot linking it as they may not want to see it again .... but it will give the DSC an idea how fortunate we have all been ....

GET WELL SOON BOYS....

Screwy 25-May-2005 17:36

Holy sh*t, Dibs.

That's horrible, the boys were very lucky to get away with the injuries they suffered. Blimey.

Red-leader 25-May-2005 23:33

Just caught this thread RL.
Hope your getting better mate and your mate Frazer too.
That looks real nasty and I am glad you managed to walk away from it.

Good luck with the insurance claim and keep recovering.

Dibs you are the luckiest of the lucky if you were all together in a group.

Top man for looking after em too.

Rattler 26-May-2005 00:38

Getting better fella - good on ya - it was a bit extreme though just to give Dibble something to do - the idle tart!!!! ;)

ericthered40 26-May-2005 01:19

Red-leader 26-May-2005 23:06
