Just ask Malcome Cooper(the boss)!!!

Anyone tried a 50 cal BMG yet??

1/4 inch at 55 yds is very impressive, just under 1/2 a minute of angle..Harris bipod by any chance.

Guido 06-Nov-2005 22:50

Guido - Guy Cope

nigh-on 20 years in Sales and Marketing and S&M Management, predominantly in the automotive (Castrol UK) and petroleum (Conoco Ltd) industry with a brief spell in IT networks and infrastructure.

Being a straight talking yorkshure bloke, I got mega disolusioned with all the bull**** and corporate politics etc, etc.

Laboured on building sites (which started off okay but then made me worse than the corporate rat-race).

Pplumed up the courage to have a go at my photography for real (had been 'playing' for 20-odd years). Needed to do something where I felt valued and had a say...figured working for myself was the only way to maintain my lastbit of sanity.

Full time photographer within the renewable energy sector, specialising in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments for Wind Farm proposals. Do other photography on the side (motorsports, weddings, commercial, leisure etc).

Jasper 06-Nov-2005 22:54

Previously employed for skills in: electronic engineering with BT, government work (hush hush), went to Uni, worked behind a bar and DJ'ed (mixed) records for many years. Jools 24-Nov-2005 15:56

I've got a Computing Technology degree but I know feck all except the basics about computers nowadays. Did 12 years as a field systems engineer doing hardware and software support on Hewlett Packard's bigger commercial systems then started teaching Unix and Networking.

Got drawn into the training and workforce development world and have spent the last 10-15 years doing that. Various roles such as a Learning Consultant, Course Developer etc. Ended up as HP Services UK Training Manager, then European Technical Course Development Manager so I've now got professional qualifications in Instructional Design and Management

For the last 4 years I've had a worldwide role in Performance Improvement for HP, which is a methodology that analyses the underlying causes for any underperforming workforce and designs a portfolio of solutions to improve and monitor performance gained as a result. Really enjoyed this and became the architect of HP's corporate methodology for this.

A lot of project management expertise goes into this line of work and as a result I've managed several global projects across multiple cultures and businesses.

Unfortunately, I'm quite good at project management (I never intended to be a career project manager - only did it as a neccessary part of the Performance Improvement role) so in the corporate shake up that's going on to shed 15,000 jobs, I've now found myself managing a project to outsource a whole load of European jobs to India :(

Don't enjoy the human aspect of that much, and I since I could be outsourcing my own job with this project I'll be looking to set myself up as a self employed Performance and Training Consultant for small and medium sized businesses if I get a big fat redundancy cheque

phoenix n max 24-Nov-2005 22:21

Self Employed and have been for 15 years.
Measuring Gauges for Engineers.
Hygiene Services for Doctors Surgeries
Make and sell Candles n some other stuff! ( boxwicked) Not been going long with this though.
Qualified riding instructor specialist in eventing and dressage (retired now) Equine Nurse.

When I used to work for others I did accountancy and then worked for Nissan setting up hire depts nationwide.

Part Time 'Racer' ( sort of ) - does that count ?

If i've anytime left i'm a mum of 3 and can be found most weekends tinkering with a Ducati :)

Jiminy 14-Jan-2006 23:58

Jiminy (aka Jim Mourilyan). If anyone can be bothered to get this far down the thread then I'll add my two pen'th .... Yet another bloke involved in IT, on the infrastructure side of things rather than the software side of things. I work best with the stuff you can touch - ooo-err missus. Anyway it's paid the bills over the years, about 20 years in all. Turned my hand to most things in life, have flown planes, done a bit of acting, raced lawn mowers (true), lived in numerous different places around the world, but always seem to end up back in London. Been riding bikes for about the last 10 years but only now learning to ride properly since buying a 749 - and I still have a long way to go.
