Now I know why I'm tired all the time, I seem to have a double-life. :puzzled:

If only it was that easy :(

I had a spare afternoon so I've just chucked a frame, forks swingarm and wheels at my 620 motor and everything fits fine.

Apart from the minor detail of not being able to fit the tank over the battery and ECU......

Looks like I will have to chop up the loom and relocate the battery and ECU as the original Monster tank wont fit the frame. Still I've got two months until Cadwell!!

:lol::lol::lol::D

Another update!

The frame is back from the powder coaters, as modelled by my lovely assistant Mark the Pit Bitch.

PS. Ignore the cars in the workshop, I just couldn't decide which colour I liked...

antonye 09-Feb-2006 00:13

OOOOO Yeah! Looking good!

I couldn't possibly comment, but I quite fancy the Mustang GT up on the ramp...

antonye 13-Feb-2006 21:16

Mark the Pit Bitch gets a firm grip on his spanners and tightens his nuts...

antonye 13-Feb-2006 21:16

Looking good...

ericthered40 13-Feb-2006 21:23

I have one that is brand new and I've never used it - they are great.

I'll sell it to you if you like.

It was free

It belongs to Mark, he brought it round to help build the bike up at a comfortable level. You can raise and lower it as you want. Great bit of kit. He'll be along shortly to let you know...

mjbayley 14-Feb-2006 12:34

Billet master cylinder!!!:o Very tasty. :D

The angle on the bars looks very steep, will almost certinly give you grief if you plan on keeping the standard SS fairings. My harris ones were like that and meant I had to run almost sod-all lock to get through scrutineering. I later discovered at Cadwell that lock is a good thing, especially when trying to avoid highsiding!

Cheers,

Ali

domski 23-Feb-2006 23:51

Aren't you gunna clean it? You should be ashamed :P

Very nice Ant.

Scooter916 23-Feb-2006 23:55

They're the same bars I ran last year. I modified the fairings to suit - you only need to shop a little out of the side pieces.

This year they're a little bit higher anyway, so it may be ok without modifying them. I've got last years fairings plus a new set waiting to be painted, so we'll see which one is done first.

I think we all know which one has been done :saint:;):D

antonye 24-Feb-2006 01:06

Many times. Many, many times.

domski 24-Feb-2006 01:44

Awww ((((((((hugs)))))))))

At least you get to have a holiday in San Fran every fortnight ;):smug:

ericthered40 24-Feb-2006 02:03

Looking good I like the ali swinger

Well more than the Ali swinger above who is decidedly dodgy ;)

domski 24-Feb-2006 02:26

Is he a swinger? Hrmm, does Saara know? I guess she must - hence the word 'swinger'

ericthered40 24-Feb-2006 02:37

I was referring to his ability to swing on a set of handle bars :D

But you never know in these sexually liberated times we live in.
who would have thought Dickie would have been pulled off in a bands garage when he wasn't even in the same team.

Stay vigilant mate you know it makes sence

antonye 24-Feb-2006 10:27

This episode of Carry On DSC starred...

:D

ali 24-Feb-2006 11:37

I swing on the track, I swing at home, and I sometimes swing in the park (pigtails and plaid skirts), but none of these are open for discussion....

antonye 16-Mar-2006 10:47

Cheeky fscker! I had those numbers on for most of last year as well!

I'm using last years fairing as this years are not ready yet. They should be done in time for Brands though.

Just adding a couple of hoover tubes like on Geoff's bike... ;)

ali 16-Mar-2006 11:16

Looks fantastic mate. Well done. Especially like the little bracket for the brake/clutch resevoirs.... :D

Ali

Jools 16-Mar-2006 13:06

I love these build reports. The bike looks fantastic, lot of work gone into that. Love all the little details like the ones the other guys have mentioned.

Mind you, it seems like a doctor or someone with the same standard of handwriting has scribbled something about fuel on the tank..

Well done Antonye, look forward to seeing it racing.

Ray 16-Mar-2006 13:17

The standard of prep on the DD field looks like it's taking a big step forward judging by the bikes I've seen on here and in the flesh.

Here's hoping they all stay shiny side up,

Ray.

That'll be Mitch the Mechanic's dodgy writing ;)
