Just as long as I don't get spat on and chased. How ironic would that be!

Ahem ... this is Reading you know - also known as The Royals of Royal Berkshire

... we don't do that sort of thing :smug:

Teddy1 04-Feb-2006 14:55

I don't mean by the Royals of Royal Berkshire,

Not a bad weekend at all

The 6 nations table makes good reading this early on.

Everton won
Reading won
England slaughtered Wales
Liverpool lost
Reina sent off for poking Robben in the eye
... and a nice ride up to Foxes to see some of the DSC faithful

:D :smug:

The Scots played a marvellous game. First match of the tournament is always the best chance of an upset, but they totally deserved the victory. Nice to see after all their near-misses. On yesterdays's form, they'd have walked past Ireland and Wales and given England an almighty scare.

Bl00dy glad it wasn't us that were playing them in the first round

:barfy:
Been away since Wednesday, spent the Weekend with 3 English and A Scott (still hungover) in Twickers and after my previous post looks like I owe Everton a Drink + Liverpool lost!
Roll on the Rugby world cup!!!:rolleye:

Maybe I should Limit my self to just reading posts as usual !

everton 09-Feb-2006 20:18

So it's the Italians next ...

Will England break 100 points?

Will Wales recover - have the Scots had their day?

Will France lose their way again - this time the Irish to run amock?

The weekend can't come quickly enough for me.

Everton to slam Balckburn

Reading to push the south coast's second team Scumhumpton further towards Coca Cola Div 1 - Reading WILL get promoted and Southampton WILL get relegated - you heard it here first - so Pompey miss out playing them for another season :lol::lol:

uncle porry 10-Feb-2006 08:02

having read the title of this post (italy into the battlefield next) the following question came to mind...

i dont really follow "rugger" but just wondered if half way thru the tournament, the italians realise they have no chance of winning, so string up their manager in a rome square and change sides to whoever is top of the league ? :)

Unless England play an absolute blinder, I reckon it will be tight until half time. Then, if we're lucky, we'll pull away a bit. Italy have given us a couple of scares before, and they're going to be majorly pi55ed off after Ireland's dodgy win.

Ian spot on then ...

Italy 16 - 31 England

The scoreline belies an unconvincing win - bravo Italia!

If Wales can beat Scotland tomorrow then only England can win the Grand Slam.

Teddy1 11-Feb-2006 19:47

Loved the quote today-

"Italy welcome the English fans to Rome, they drink and eat and don't fight anyone"

Another reason why Rugby is miles better than football:cool:

Monty 11-Feb-2006 20:44

Football-is that the game played with a round ball???

Or as my technology master at school said "Football-that's 22 grown men chasing a leather covered bag of wind round a field..................."-he sailed Tornado catamarans.

Very sorry Scotland - shame you had to loose like that - put up a spirited display I thought for 14 men.

Why, of why do we have to have these southern hemisphere refs? I want to watch the Rugby not these t@ssers - keep em for southern hemisphere teams they deserve each other - they can all whinge together then :D

Only England can win the Slam now
