Funny that my mates owns that ex-Hizzy bike could be yours for about 16K!

For me... maybe RCV211, Desmocedici GP6 maybe? I'd love Bayliss's F06 though

Twinfan 27-Feb-2006 14:34

JPM - how many "ex-Hizzy" bikes are in existence then? There's one in the Hizzy exhibition in Hawick, and Paul Bird has/had one outside his hospitality unit last season. Does you rmate own one of them, or does he have a third? There can only be two, surely????

JPM 27-Feb-2006 14:38

No idea, got his name on the yokes, and he had the forks rebuilt and Ken at K-Tech recognised them as being off his bike as he'd built them initially. Also engraved on the casings too, I know it's first owner was a certain Neil Hodgson before Hizzy got his hands on it.

weeksy2 27-Feb-2006 14:42

999R would be my choice... if i could afford that, i could also afford to race it :)

Jools 27-Feb-2006 15:00

Are you serious? Money no object and only one bike, not a great big feck-off garage/workshop full?

Hmmmm.... it would have to do everything well wouldn't it. It would have to tour, be a good road bike, it would have to scratch and do trackdays. Well, it might be a boring choice but an ST4S (pre-barn door fairing) tuned and tastefully blinged would have to be close.

But I'll have an 888 SPS in the conservatory please and a 749R in the lounge and a Monster S2 1000 in the kitchen

ali 27-Feb-2006 15:15

Supermono, Millona NCR, RC30, 998R, Britten. If money really was no option then I'm sure I'd have at least 50 bikes, and probably the same number of cars.

I find it almost physically painful that I can't own and ride all those bikes, but I love the SL and racing is the best possible way to spend your time on two wheels, so I can live without them for the moment......

Ozz 27-Feb-2006 16:31

In my dreams OWO1

In the real world 888SPS....

Sparkin I am trying hard to win a few kk to buy your 888......

dickieducati 27-Feb-2006 16:33

Desmocedici GP6

Jasper 27-Feb-2006 16:36

Ozz,GET IT BOUGHT!!! Everything about the bike is Superb!!Shame about it's current owner:frog:

Ozz 27-Feb-2006 16:53

Always one glitch with a perfect bike, eh?

Jasper wasn't ignoring your msn earlier. For a change my work involved getting off my backside!

BDG 27-Feb-2006 17:08

996R
KTM 950 Adventure
KTM 640 Adventure
RC30
Gas Gas EC300 (that was relaible, so no chance there then)
Mint restored 350LC
Hyabusa Turbo

and a few false licences and ID's

You`re entering into the spirit of it now Jools me old mate, there`s lots of bikes we`d all like to have, but if you only had one to do all them things on, the ST4s would be a good choice, but not everyone has trackdays or commuting in there criteria for instance..................................

KeefyB 27-Feb-2006 20:39

Hmm.good game this.
So,its brutal,quirky and a Vee twin.
Not the Britten or V Rod.
Mebbe not the Monster,...you had one of those and did'nt like it.
Hmmmmmmmm,.......
How about the Jesse James VTX1800,...or is that too wide of the mark?

KeefyB 27-Feb-2006 21:01

Or mebbe summat like this;

Jon 27-Feb-2006 22:06

A big boat with lots of ladeez:)

sparkin 27-Feb-2006 22:29

Keith my man,you are getting closer all the time,if this was a game of "Hot & Cold" you`d be boiling with that Jesse James bike;)

As for my monster, the main gripe was comfort,no ground clearence with standard footrests, ruddy uncomfortable with rearsets:(
Was plenty quick enough mind you, tried the newer framed ones S2r/S4r and they seem a lot more comfy.

Still need to sell the T8 first.......but glad I`m keeping you amused :D

Jools 27-Feb-2006 23:26

Hmmmm....Jesse james getting close....a big streetfighter stylee....a big V-twin....more ground clearance than a Monster....Brutal and raw.

Anybody mention a Buell Lightning XB12S yet?

phil_h 27-Feb-2006 23:27

I'd have a harem :eureka:

Nah....Sparkins rules say you can only have one bike

Jools 27-Feb-2006 23:30

And the thread seems to have gone from your dream bike thread to guess what Sparkin wants next

Jools my man, what about the "money no object clause",do you think I`d settle for a Buell??

Rob B 27-Feb-2006 23:32

Maybe a GT380 and a good LC too

I had a GT380 in Gold,first bigish bike I had:(

At the start Jools I wondered if anyone would come up with the same as me,but Kieth has turned it into a guessing game, you know what them Fen men are like:lol::lol:

MARTIN H 27-Feb-2006 23:38

Only one bike? Sounds a bit sad but it would have to be the Multistrada! I know it sounds a boring choice but for me I can do what I enjoy on it. Sure it would be nice to have a full on race bike sat there but thats exactly what it would be doing most of the time just sitting there. It would have to be able to be used as often as I wanted to use it. Its something I can get up on a Sunday morning and ride all day. Thats what its all about for me.

MARTIN H 27-Feb-2006 23:39

Would change mine for the S version though. ;)

Henners 28-Feb-2006 10:22

I'm old so I can afford mostly what I want so it would be someting exclusive, that money can't buy:

Troy Bayliss's 2001 WSB Championship winning 996R :D

rcgbob44 28-Feb-2006 11:02

Egli Vincent with a black shadow engine and the tank painted in British Racing Green!

Also a 1974 Ducato 750SS

And a 1962 BSA Gold Star Clubmans with 1 1/2" GP Carb & RRT2 Gear Box.

DC 28-Feb-2006 11:56

;)

Now let me see,

I would have some sort of nasty 2 stroke. Such as a 500 GP bike, maybe the RGV500 or perhaps the NSR500.

I would really need some sort of mordern race bike such as the Ducati GP bike.

And then I would have a Vincent Black lightning.:devil: The Britten V twin is another one I would like.

Oh a some nice little tricked up Ducati 996 or 998 just to pootle about on.;)

DC.

Fiver 28-Feb-2006 12:09

Well id have to shoot for a red 749 or an S4Rs Testastretta i think.
I already have my other dream bike - my '59 Lambretta

Scooter916 28-Feb-2006 12:19

I bet you only sit lookin at the lammy due to reliability probs.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Kirsty (Scooterbabe)

Iconic944ss 28-Feb-2006 12:44

its funny, I was musing this type of theme the other day when a Buell brochure landed on the doormat....I couldnt help wondering how good a Buell with a proper Ducati engine would be
