Those grumpy old men are they in drag on that site, or is it their ladies posting for them?
By the look of their avatars, they have nowt to complain about if it is their ladies posting.

They're making it like that, so you can only have a small girlfriend.

No, it's just the world slows down for us to make it look faster.
God does it just for the DSC.

Am I taking the lords name in vain here?

If we all pledged to be law abiding on the road would we still have a need for a number plate??:eureka:

jeff st4s 18-Sep-2006 22:08

The plate is for when the Pikey's steal your bike, the Police then know which one is yours so they can return it to you..

doogalman 18-Sep-2006 22:12

They can't steel it if you are riding it! ORHow about in a would without pikeys?

Not seen many pikeys of late anyway, they are mostly now council house dwellers CHD's:devil:

skidlids 18-Sep-2006 22:38

Rear hub looks like its Corse size or bigger, maybe MV size, doubt if it will take my mag wheels off my 998

KeefyB 19-Sep-2006 06:50

Hmm,....
Not sure whether I like it or not.Cant wait to see it without all the foam that is taped all over it.

Stu748R 19-Sep-2006 09:20

I m with you on this one,if look again and imagine the fairing without the gaffer tape etc, it could be a looker me thinks.

Twinfan 19-Sep-2006 10:07

It's the tail end that looks really suspect to me. Those cans just aren't good, and they'll look worse with a plate underneath them. There's something not quite "right" about them.

Chaz 19-Sep-2006 10:14

He's just been down a bumpy road and landed on that tank ooooooooooow.

900MAN 19-Sep-2006 11:08

Hey Chass
Are you going to send me that stand? :)

crm250 20-Sep-2006 13:21

Looking at the sidestand i think the extra padding and gaffa tape will be standard. as if anything like the 916 its only a matter of time before it snaps like a twig but with all this padding it's sure to bounce back up. bravo ducati superb design and forward thinking as ever

Stu748R 20-Sep-2006 20:02

Yep,much cheaper than crash bunges.

DC 20-Sep-2006 20:18

Ill wait to see what it looks like when its Finished before I state anything about the bike or its looks.

Talking about a job before its finished, tut tut.

DC.

doogalman 22-Sep-2006 15:49

Have a look at the link on this page of the Bking launch ,
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?pa...WS_NEW -BIKES Any attempt at underseat pipes would be an improvement on what suzuki have done on the BKing:roll:

bike mad 23-Sep-2006 00:00

look the same to me,
that's the problem,
I remember when the 999 came out, the man said that the new exhausts were made like they were so they had more room in side them to help with the baffling, more gas less noise, more power,
and it made sense to me and I like the look of the 999s rear so when I look at the pipes on the new bike I think it's old and cheap,
My mind is not made up, and wont be till I have seen the new bike and had time to take it in but the rear is not good,
:flame: :burn: :burn:

doogalman 23-Sep-2006 09:52

I'm thinking the rear pipes are a total dummy. They will have something a bit special in the pipeline (pardon the pun). Remember the exhaust on the Desmosedici test mule. NOW did that look the same when the bike was released???

I hope they do it the sedici way for the mono, very clever. I doubt that is the finished bike though, and it will look much better. Similarly with those pics of the hyper motard, I doubt it will have the rear lights from a 749 just stuck on the back like that

Twinfan 25-Sep-2006 10:23

The weekly rag says twin headlights, twin cans and single sided rear are definites. So who knows...

Stones 28-Sep-2006 10:16

I cant see that the exhaust is the finished item as it doesnt follow the frames line very closely! Im still not overly happy with them going back to the 916 for inspiration but I guess until the bike is released we are still all guessing..... although am about to phone Coventry Ducati and see when they will be on sale!

Is this the same bike as this post, maybe some small differences ?

flyingbanana 29-Sep-2006 16:29

same bike more gaffer tape, powdercoated swing arm and frame, gold fork tubes, looks like some extra datalogging gear on the seat unit. might be the S version being track tested as the other pics show black forks, it may even have some more seat bodywork fitted that was missing from the close up pic on the road just behind the riders legs. it's from a series of pics that were in mcn, they didn't use this one if I recall. The other rider from those pics looks suspiciously like cappirossi....
