Fuel & Power at Cadwell

I will be coming down for both days with the Ducati Glasgow contingent, i have only ridden Cadwell once and that was a few years ago can anyone tell me if fuel is available ? also is power provided for tyre warmers and if so is it a 3 pin 13 Amp domestic Plug or a 16 Amp Blue industrial Plug required,
Cheers,
Bob.

No and No...

No fuel on site, but there is a garage in Louth a couple of miles away.
Best to stock up on fuel before you get there.

There are very few electrical sockets, and what hookups there are will be 16A Blue plugs.

There IS fuel on site but the petrol station is not cheap and only opens for a short time each day say half an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon. there is also a garage about 2 miles down the road heading to horncastle but its very pricey and only takes cash

injected 08-Jun-2010 14:51

What about a tyre vendor/fitter?

bob s 12-Jun-2010 06:09

I'll be bringing some spare rubber with me as well,i hope i can get it fitted !

bradders 12-Jun-2010 11:24

DSC Track Attack 2010 (plus other)

Does anyone know what the timetable is for this i.e. signing on, noise testing, safety briefing etc?

I entered way back in January and expected to get some kind of confirmation of my entry giving details of this. I have e-mailed the Web Team and the Trackday organiser over the past couple of weeks but no reply from either.

What's happened to the Pronto mag? The last one seems to have been in Autumn last year.

Also, in spite of the fact that I have a membership card, there is no listing in the membership list and what is a "roundel"?

TopiToo 18-Jun-2010 07:51

hope this is some help :)

Monty is in charge, but if we follow our normal routine it will be;

7.30 - sign-on opens
8.30 - safety briefing (and sign-on closes)
9.00 - Red/Fast group on track
9.20 - Yellow/Inters
9.40 - Green/Novice

repeat until lunch (approx 1.00 - 2.00 depending on how we use the time in the morning

2.00 - 5.00 - more of the same

5.00 onwards, beer, nonsense, tall stories, more beer, more nonsense, loud music maybe, lots of laughs and bed

Wake up and repeat

It's on hold as there is nobody to do it.

Small red Ducati logo next to your name again email CB to sort.

just thought some may ask about sound levels.

don't quote me but the sound level at Cadwell is 105Db, my 748 with complete 50mm pipes passed, but I would always bring some Db killers just in case;)

here is a pic of a cut down Db killer but you get the idea.

Hopefully not, thanks to the very hard work of MotoRapido's Wilf and the erstwhile support from stalwart club members in the regions the event may yet see a crew of Ducati fans enjoying their machines in the environment that nature intended.
Good luck Wilf, I hope you pull it off mate, this club may be dead on it's feet but the members are still worth fighting for!

Least I can do is try and come along to ride on one day!

I'm posting the info up wherever I can think of.

If there's anymore that needs doing to the help the event, I'd be glad to help where I can.

Cheers - Frank

Frank,

We have dropped the requirement for Ducati only on Day one and the event is open to those who are either members of the DSC or eligable to join the DSC.

As Wilf makes clear the DSC is running this day not Moto Rapido and as such normal Club rules apply.

Chris

I realy want to jump in on this and say something i most likely will regret, but for the sake of others im just going to say that as far as i am concerned Chris, the DSC has sweet bugger all to do with this track day, without the members this would not have happened and you were quiet happy to let that happen so as far as club rules go you can take them and stick them.....

It would be so easy to rant and rave at this post but I wont. Damn my lilly livered heart;)

one rant though............ who is not eligible to join DSC?........ Hitler?(only because he's dead I would think too)

tranquil_rage 23-Jun-2010 20:45

Sod the club rules, if anyone is turned away for any reason its a disgrace to those who have put the effort in to make this happen.

bradders 23-Jun-2010 21:04

Wilf made it clear in the post quoted above; all welcome just call him and book it!!

Well my renewal was due 1st June which did not arrive, I had the auto one and replied that they should deduct it from outstanding monies and now it looks as if I am no longer a member of the club so cannot come.

Gordon, Member or not you can still come, as its open to all, as the club owes you money then the least it can do is pay for your membership and trackday, come along on Monday if the club will not pay for you to get on track come find me and i will.

Great news on the fleet turning up- I was getting a bit worried there!
Anyone have any suggestions for B&B's near the track?

Speak to Wilf as the Rapido group may have some beds left at their accommodation just down the road, it's shared rooms but fine and you can walk down to the pub too.
