Your Keen Roy, its about time we had a decent day at Silverstone, we/ve had snow during the briefing one year, heavt rain another year when they had to stop people going out on Road tyres and in 2005 Fil2s DD bike was discovering the meaning of Carb icing.
So lets hope March 20th 2010 gives us a warm sunny day

Hope not as Benson was the coldest place in the country last night at -18 degrees C

Oh you mean like the Benson trackday :)

I told Maty about it on Tuesday and he said he would book in but as far as I know he hasn't done so yet.
Wonder if Nev748 is interested as he and Robin joined us last year

JasonBoswell 07-Jan-2010 22:45

I'm booked in. Will be on the DDB bike. Got snow chains for it :)

Have now booked this (Sat 20th) so there will be another DD bike there as well. Gone for the inters as I get upset when quicker people come flying past.

Mark.

I booked Robin in as well and at that stage they said there were 4 places left.

phillc 20-Jan-2010 14:35

I've booked in Advanced. It'll give me a target to get that working engine back in the 996.

Sure you don't need someone to take your replacement 999 around the track :)

Looks Like its going to be a real social event, I'm looking forward to it, just need to get the DD bike finished in time and then decide between the R6 and the 998R, I'm favouring the 998R at the moment as the track is the only place the close ratio box makes sense

At least we are waiting until March this year

here's a reminder of Silverstone in Feb 2007

Plus a couple more Class A riders from what I have just been told

Only a few weeks away now and apart from removing my damaged fairing and replacing the clutch lever I still have loads I should be getting on with on the DD Bike as well as preping the 998R and bypassing its troublesome quickshifter

Dukeman358 02-Mar-2010 14:46

I could be the ultra slow novice in the paddock and pit lane at this rate:o

Not sure but it is still in being looked at, still need to decide what to do about tyres?? whether to just change to BSB's again or stick another corsa 3 on the rear.:(

Look No Micky Mouse Chicane :)

Been a few years since I raced Silverstone without that silly little chicane

Dukeman358 15-Mar-2010 14:49

Well the race is on to get my bike back in time for Saturday, hopefully MR will do the business in time.

If not Pete B has kindly offered a possible ride so I'll be up early to sign on in any event.

bradders 15-Mar-2010 16:03

sure we'll sort you out with something kim ;)

here's what's in store...

I'm presuming we're doing the "Bridge GP" circuit (ie, the old one), as the new one is still being built... not what I originally thought when booking, but what the hell, will be good fun amoungst friends.

Dementor 15-Mar-2010 22:19

Unfortunately I think you are right Jason, Hottrax that was at the beginning of this thread on the 29th says Arena, but Focus says Bridge, Focus first Arena day isn't until April :(

bradders 15-Mar-2010 22:41

What layout then?? Guess I'll have to print another off to learn!!

Looking at the pictures I reckon we would be better off with JCB's

JasonBoswell 15-Mar-2010 23:11

We're doing the Bridge GP circuit Paul - the old one. The new Arena GP circuit isnt open yet by the looks of it :(

I wonder what circuit New Era will be sending the DD/848/3D Cup/Maxxis round on the 25th April then???
