Do we get confirmation of the booking closer to the event with details or only the automated receipt of payment?
What time do people usually get there on the Sunday evening?

No details just be sure to be there to sign on between 07.30 and 08.00 Monday, Sunday evening some guys start rolling in around 17.00 onwards

pbrown 03-Jun-2010 15:55

I'll try & get myself there early enough on the sunday evening to have a walk round the track while it's still light.

paynep 04-Jun-2010 21:16

Getting a bit hacked off now. Renewed my membership on the day it ran out, can't book as a DSC-member as my roundel has vanished and I'm going on holiday tomorrow.

I WILL be there on track................

PDL 09-Jun-2010 14:55

What groups are left? Sorry I have not read the thread.

Hello

I hope to be travelling up to Cadwell on Sunday, I guess leave Whitton about 2-3pm to get there for about 6-7pm.
I understand as last time I was there other events will finishing off so getting into Cadwell and finding a camping
spot MAY be a bit difficult, (if you arrive too early), but as I am in no hurry on Sunday I cannot see this being
a problem and most people have left by about 7pm. I will be pitching a tent for both days and look
forward to the track walks. Hope to see you there.:) as it should be an enjoyable few days.

Do we get guided walks? Are they similar to the guided wildlife walks in the countryside but pointing out all the dead wildlife that didn't make it across the track?:D

Martin Ducati Glasgow 10-Jun-2010 14:50

I'm bringing down 5 mates thus far, can't wait.

Will confirm asap with you Monty.:)

Yes, there will be a guided walk conducted by me on Sunday night around 7.30 I guess. I will be highlighting points of local interest, florabunda, rock formations and the natural wildlife that cohabits with the overfatius motorcyliest of the species, a noisy little blighter, restricted in these parts, generally red plumage but tends only to show itself when warm and dry.

Any chance of a repeat on Monday for us part-timers WJB?

What a cheek saying us Duke riders only turn up when it's warm & dry. I occasionally stick my nose out of the garage door when it's slightly cloudy.

Ray 16-Jun-2010 15:01

Not long now, there again with the countdown clock you already knew that:D

Ray.

pbrown 16-Jun-2010 17:21

Really looking forward to it, hope the weather is good & not too many clouds. I'll have a wander around the padock looking for that little patch of Yorkshire.

John W 17-Jun-2010 14:05

well the best laid plans and all that.

Having spoken with the splash and asked about a room a while back, I didn't book at the time as I didnt have my credit card with me.
Just rang them and they are now full :(
I've called a couple off the cadwell site and they are all full too...

So. Either I'll be camping (literally, no time to sort out other transport e.g van or tow bar), or I'm looking for suggestions of other places to try.

Heeeeeeellllllllppppppp.

:)

antonye 17-Jun-2010 15:34

Camping! Much more fun as you'll be in the paddock with all the other DSC members having fun!

John W 17-Jun-2010 15:38

Panic over, I've found a spare room now, so will have a comfy bed (I hope) to sleep in after all

I wouldn't mind camping if I was coming by car, but riding up there and having nowhere else but the tent to leave stuff is not ideal, especially if its p!ssing it down

Rol on the 28th

paynep 17-Jun-2010 23:32

Any tyre fitting/support as Holbeach won't be there?

Come and find Louise (mrs monster) she's from Yorkshire. You can't miss her bike, black M600 with the lowest seat height ever.

couchcommando 18-Jun-2010 15:13

Looking forward to this now, not long. Bike at cornerspeed being 'fettled' and getting a polish, lets hope for good weather !!
