I think that to complete the "image" transformation you should install ape hangers and stirrups!!!!!:(

Gasmanrus,

Depends what you want to "Use" the bike for.

If you plan on showing it then go for it whatever floats your boat, i may get shot down in flames here but the post from weeveetwin actually shows a bike which looks good and would certainly win shows if that's what you want to achieve.

If however you still plan to ride it regularly then i think it would be a pain to keep in tip top condition. Resale value may be affected as well because not a lot of people would share the same desire for shiny bits the same as you. It may end up being a burden rather than a positive selling point.

Some food for thought there for you.

Regards

ScottyB

Weeveetwin's pic - its perfectly possible, and no need for constant polishing either!

Just get it anocoated chrome, then all you need is a quick 'wipe or rinse over' when you have finished riding.

Ask AK - his monster special takes him the least amount of time to clean, out of all the bikes in the garage. Rinse, wipe over & put away! The tonnes of stainless on his Lawson takes 2 days to get done properly, he doesnt clean the viffer:lol: , and the turbo (which has had to be taken to bits for a refurb) took a while too.

C:roll:
