Loz 22-Feb-2005 16:48

Thanks Dave!
I doubt I'll be driving a Volvo, somehow - but maybe Bradders will lend me his SAAB from time to time?

:lol: ;)

CK, is one of them the unusual multi-colour bike I've seen Alan ride? :)

Failing that, I'd like something the size of your SMART car, but still has room to load a bike or two in the back for trackdays.

Hmmm ... does Nissan make a Tardis, I wonder? :puzzled::bouncy:

Its like an outsiders view of the Ducati - you either love it - or hate it - no middle ground at all:lol: (I luv it, Al hates it!:o )

Thanks Charlotte. It's a bit like being in a leper colony, I reckon. Being a Smart Car owner. You just don't notice you've all got the same disease and you can't wait to infect other people.

PS I know I'm gonna pay for that -- it's just a question of when, and how much xxxxxxxxxxxxxx:devil::P:lol::frog::devil::P:lol::f rog:

Loz mentioned Nissan and that reminded me that Japan makes a bunch of neat smaller cars that don't go to foreign shores too often. They started out as 660 cc jobs, got jazzed up with turbos, four valves, 6 speeds and stuff and some also grew into 1200-1300 cc jobs. Most of them are built for young folk or young mothers to haul stuff (kids and sundry items) around without being unstylish or too slow. Couple of buddies have them to haul MTBs around in, but some of them could do a low, light bike like a 749. Probably not sold in the UK though. Great mileage, lots of parts on the market and fairly noticeable go power.

Roof!:o

s'orlrite - I'm used to being called a leper!:P:lol::lol:

mind you, tis cheap to run - have done 253 miles on this tank full so far - and now just down to 1/4 tank today, costing £17/£18(ish) to fill tank from when light comes on. Tax is about same as the M1000, and insurance a bit less.
Parking area is also not much more room either!:lol::lol:

C:D smart car leper of the DSC:lol:
