Thanks for the offer Ant but the only clique I've ever fit into are the non-cliquey ones ;)

There you go you see - Official Member of the Non-Clique Clique.

Sounds good.

Now how much is a paint job? I can't afford to be seen on an unfinished bike, I mean, this Monnie still hasn't had the yellow topcoat applied over the red undercoat and grey primer :bouncy:

Scored 19!

Out of 19 so not bad for an old git eh ;) That's the ACU training course out of the way with the certificate now winging it's way with my New Era membership and ACU licence applications!
Having dropped my 2-piece into 9-lives on Friday, picked the bike up Saturday and discussed next steps with a couple of chaps yesterday I'm on me way to Castle Combe at last :biaggi:
Now all I need is new chain & sprocket set, raise the rear ride height so I'm not sitting on the floor, K&N air filter and Dynojet kit, oil/filter change, fix the belly pan, lockwire the sump plug, oil filter and filler cap and a new clutch lever so I don't have to reach too far to the biting point (are they ALL like that?) then I'll be ready for CK's next traffic light challenge trophy (albeit she wants to retain her 400cc advantage :smug: ).
It seems like ages since I rode my 750ss and this Monnie is just as nimble (maybe more so), I can get into corners a lot faster where I'd have to be backing off the 998 before dropping her in, wicked  Not a good idea whilst I'm using my old leathers though, no sliders :frog:

But I thought you were my wingman at Cadwell ? ;)

Well done psych. Look forward to watching man and machine in harmony at Castle Combe.

wherever you like big boy!:P

Its the drag racing training - not many get past me on reaction time:smug: & the first 1/8th mile - not even AK

I just bottle it further up the straight, I dont enjoy the power wheelies at 80+, on these private roads we go on;)

Not sure you should talk so open about PSY's and AK's dress sense....

CARB ICING!

Shows how long it is since I rode a bike without FI!! Got half way to work this morning and the poor little thing was a wheezin and a flutterin, a coughin and a splutterin until I pulled into a layby for a minute to let some engine warmth percolate up to the carbs then she was right as rain :o

Phew, so that's why they fitted diverters from the oil coolers on older SS's :smug:

Jayse 21-Apr-2005 11:01

Hmm, that's odd. never had that half way through a journey only the first couple of minutes and by then the heaters were working and then no probs. But if you're one of those early riser types, I couldn't comment, as I've never ridden her before 6am

Are you sure you're talking to her nicely? :burn:
