Good News : Bad News Good News :D Tried a 600 monster (no screen) last night, did about 50 miles and got a good report from bird:). seat bit on the firm side but otherwise everythin else was ok. Change to a corbin for the extra comfort everythin should be hunky dorrie. Bad News :( Its a pain in the neck, great when doing 50-60 mph but when i got to anythin over 70 it was a bit of a strain on the neck. Was nice to ride though handles well, easy to throw around, comfortable riding position, pulled well to say there were two of us onboard (after the 996). do the fly screens make much difference could be swayed if they do!. Goin to try a mates st2 when we go to mallory the weekend to see what that brings. |
When I fitted a screen to my old M750, it did make a difference - I could cruise COMFORTABLY on a breexy day at 80ish, whereas before it was 70ish C:) |
Flyscreen does make a difference. Kirst can cruise at 80 comfortably and is happy riding at 90-100 for short stretches. It's not as effective as the ST2 screen, which is pretty good IMHO, but then it's not claiming to be. |
Screen makes a big difference. Readily available. |
no to monster After living with the monster for a few days have made the sad desicion that a monster is not for me :( Have enjoyed riding it round town and short ride out but not so happy when two up which is what i need it for. The search goes on !!! [Edited on 23-4-2005 by Mello-Yellow] |
Multistrada ??? |
Nar budget wont stretch to a new bike and a bit unsure of the styling aswell, have heard very good things about it from mates who have ridden one, but its just god damn ugly in my honest opinion (please no shouting). need to be happy with the looks aswell as how it rides. sticking the gsx-r back together for now until a better offer comes my way. |
Oh, I agree they are pig-ugly, but I fell in love with it anyway ! |

I believe I am the person with the so called big rear, can't say I'm too happy about that! The bike is comfy although I have been on better a CBR and Thundercat for example, as for the grab handles, they were designed for a person with 6ft arms I think :puzzled: [Edited on 23-4-2005 by scrumpster] |
I\'ve seen the light st2  :bouncy:  No more to say |
