The .********..Police are actually looking for the BS marks to prove it is a road legal can, so a legal can without the correct stamps, that doesn't sound too loud (as they are also cute to the removing of baffles) would still get the 30 quid fixed (no point) penalty. Believe me I had a 20 minute chat with two of Buckinghamshires finest money-grabbers whilst they scoured my 45mm slip-on carbon termi's for a 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' sticker, but could not find one - but as they did not have the correct BS stickers/marks they still stuck me with a fine. Been a bit of a bad month as they did me 2 weeks ago for a small number plate, and when I talked to them on that occasion they said they would have done me for the pipes if the plate was ok... What an inspiration for us all... At the time I wished I could:flame:the:pig: ..................... :flame::pig: Jas:( [Edited on 28-5-2005 by hooley] [Edited on 29-5-2005 by hooley] |
