Paul - if we get it to cadders and it cant be repaired I'm sure we can find you a bike to ride mate ;) (you are in a different group to me arent you??) |
:o Thanks Paul, talk to you about that mate :o Sorry didnt ring AK last night, didnt get home in time :rolleye: Suggestion from UKMOC site is it could be starter relay contacts touching cylinder head..............? It HAS to be something like that surely, from when I took off the airbox and replaced it after doing the carbs :puzzled: |

Same as my suggestion almost a week ago then, I assumed you had checked this out by now |

No mate, that was the first thing I wriggled out of the way, and its currently hanging by the side of the bike so we dont jump when the starter suddenly turns the engine over :D I'll be round there again tonight with my magic multimeter. |
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Monica's on the run again thanks to Phil H and his little fluke meter and a screwdriver :biaggi: Turns out it was a dodgy diode actually INSIDE the ignition circuit relay that was shorting out directly to ground :o Phil broke it off "cos you dont need it anyway" and it works just fine :biaggi: Even with the revised fuelling with the new jets I fitted to the carbs, it runs smoothly and picks up just great  Wahey. Oh! Anyone got a spare slot for a lift to Cadders :puzzled: |
see u2u....glad its sorted!! |
This club just gets better! Thanks Paul, I can't believe such an offer, yes please mate :D |
