I think its straight forward enough. Blow yourself up, kill many, cause destruction and disruption and go to your heaven a 'martyr' and see your 99 virgins. Get shot by an armed response officer's S80, fail miserably, be deemed a failure and go to your heaven totally humiliated only to find your 99 virgins have turned their backs on you. Seems a good deterrent to me for these misguided fools. Who's going to want to sign up to be the next humiliation since the options to carry out their attrocities are slowly being reduced by better intelligence My view is if they keep coming we keep shooting. We will be very lucky to get one alive in order to haul him down to MI5 and find 'his boss' [Edited on 22-7-2005 by Guido] [Edited on 22-7-2005 by Guido] |

Last report I saw said 72. Just goes to show no-one escapes cut-backs...maybe they'll go on strike? |
Guido, Ian you're right it's 72 my bad (relying on memory again) Being shot before the end is still considered death in battle. It's only if they choose to run away, or bottle it that they don't become shahid. This is one of the reasons it's sucha a successful tool to manipulate the impressionable. Do it, or die trying, as long as you don't quit, you're a Martyr. |
You know what would be a good thing... If the miserable little feckers turned up in whatever paradise they believe they'll turn up in and someone says... "The good news is...here are your 72 virgins, the bad news is they've all got to remain virgins or you'll go straight to hell" Actually, it would better to cut out that stage and send them straight to hell. |

Negative, not copyright Blaster Bates, he picked that up from some of the RAF Bomb Disposal crew at the 1981 Lincolnshire RAF Armourers annual summer bash - I know cos I was one of said BD crew. Incidentally, B Bates last seen with feet sticking out from under a table p****d as a fart and dead to the world. That was good bash so it was. Sorry to be pedantic.....:sing: |
I'd always heard it as an ex being a has been and a spurt being a drip under pressure! I think any copper would be doing well to keep up with a BD crew on a bash!:lol: |
It says copyright D M Bates on the album it appears on so whether he nicked it or not, my statement remains correct Now who's being pedantic???:lol: |
Oh, forgot to add that the album ( Lift Off ) was recorded at a meeting of the Greenall Whitley Gentlemens Club at the Good Companions, Warrington in September 1973..... but apart from that you may be correct. :P [Edited on 22-7-2005 by Rushjob] |
