Chi: That's a nice example of an FE and no reserve!!! No need to sell a kidney  |
Edward, one 900SS is very nice.....two is sheer indulgence...but three would be extracting some serious ur1ne! It's not for me, but if anyone on the board gets it then let me know and we can compare notes. |

Edwyun wrote : "Wow, those are really sweet! Who makes them (they don't look like the std. Termi spaghetti's)? Are they equal length? Any dyno figures? " This is an original Silmotor line designed for this model. The association line + with Termi pipes is perfect. I do not understand why this line wasn't an original equipment ??? I really discovered another bike afterwards !!! The length is equal ... Unfortunatly, any dyno to provide :( |

I would think primarily cost - it's much easier to stamp those OEM crossovers than the spaghetti's. Also, I think you need to have a modded engine to fully enjoy the benefits of the larger diameter spaghetti's. |
I found this brand new exhaust line throughout ... e-bay, in Germany, few months ago. I paid 508.00 Euros (shipping included ...) which is cheaper than normal price. The main problem is to find this line, now. Famous exhaust companies all stopped the items production due to the "old age" of this model ... With this bike, my main goal is to keep it as original as possible, but also add some extra equipments supposed to enhance the look and improve reliabilty and ridding feelings. According to the insurance rules, engine size modifications are 100% forbidden, reason why I refuse myself to install a 944 kit ... I don't say I do not dream about it .... Because the open roads look like a battlefield now, I used to ride in respect of settlements ... Unfortunately, French Motorcyclists Police officers don't ride Ducati in my homecountry ... However, the engine attractiveness is immediatly perceptible during the first ride. Of course, noises level is uprated, but the engine feelings between 4000 and 7000 rpm are incomparable with the original line. Moreover, the engine braking seems to be smoother ... A friend of mine, owner of a 900 SS 1992 with F.1 exhaust cans, rode mine during few kilometers and was convinced of the interest of this modification. He's currently looking for one, but is facing the major problem : "Obsolete reference" ... Hope it helps ... |

I think Ducati Kaemna still has that tangential/spaghetti system http://www.ducati-kaemna.de/cms_en/k...el&artikel=385 Also, while Ducati dealers and Termignoni dealers will tell you "no", you can still get the Termi spaghetti system directly from Termignoni in Italy. It will take a few months and cost A LOT (unless you can get a few people to order)! Last time I inquired, I was told it would be about $3000 US. :o |
"""""I was told it would be about $3000 US. """"" ---> Oooouuupppsss !!! Compare to my few Euros .... According to Kaemna, the availability of this line isn't permanent ... I made a good deal, I'm convinced !!! |
