Thats why both AK and Glyn both speak to my friend Lyn on the phone when ordering parts. About time we all tried to talk her into talking her other half Jim into entering DD. |

Sorry mate... I thought you were saying the rearsets come from SS bikes. I tried to play rugby in England amongst English people yesterday, my brain is still out of order... Quote:
No idea. It's a year 1999 bike. But some friends of mine told me I can fit 888 rearsets, does it speak to you? If so I should better search 888 rearsets than asking if I can fit SS ones :lol: |
Tonio here is a pic of both rear ends, the one on the left is the earlier one similar to a 851, the one on the right is from a 2002 monster and is similar to a ST |
I think the best option for rearsets is for us all to be nice to fil2's mate who made some neat ones for the SSes. They are simple, robust and with easily replaceable parts. It would be really easy to have different mounting plates to suit the monster. If anybody wants pics of rearsets on an SS, an 888 or a monster, with dimensions to compare them ... I will go and take some, cos I have one of all of the above :bouncy: (well, sort of) |

Cheers Skid. My Monster(s) are like the left pix. So I assume the right pix matches the injected bikes, starting with the S4... So it means the 851 / 888 have the same rearsets mounting points than my bikes? |
I can't be certain Tonio but I suspect you can use 851 based rearsets. Heijira Racing owned and run by Derek Chittenden based at Manor Farm Gawcot, Bucks made Phils rearsets and no doubt he would make ones for monsters as well if he was given a pattern. |
