go for it!!

Did Cadwell Park this weekend and the weather was fantastic, dry sunny and the full circuit for £69. Better weather than we had at the DD rounds this year. Go for it you know it makes sense. I have only ever had one wet track day and that was the Dave Harris evening at Brands but also probably one of the best track days I've done.

No power at donny so if warmers are the order of the day. Take a genny.
I wouldn't venture out untill after 10.30 am and I would stop at around 3.30 pm. Once that sun goes down the temp will plummet and the track will start to condensate.

Oh yes, last time we were there as soon as that sun started to go down the temperature dropped a lot. Being as we've had frost this morning, Jon's advice sounds very good to me!

Wow what a track .. my all time favorite track could now be Donny (instead of Cadwell)

We got out on track just after 10am, had to wait for a couple of ice patches to melt first. Numbers were low so they split us into two groups instead of the normal three, which meant more track time, I think I had 8 sesssions and did over 50 laps. But I still couldn't say I know the track well, say like like Mallory or Cadwell.

Highlights for me must be the run down Hollywood and through Craner curves - absolutely awesome, especially as you cant see them to satrt with :o and also the run up through Scwantz Curve is cracking when you get it flowing right - not many times yesterday for me!

But I still need to learn the track alot as I only started usign full thottle after lunch  Kept forgetting the "slow in/fast out" approach especially at the Old Hairpin and Mcleans which messed up the exit line and speed. Approach to Coppice is weird as well going uphill/over a brow and you have to brake before seeing the corner - well at least I did, good job there was good run off for me in my early sessions :D

First time out on Diablo's and they took awhile to warm up (hardly suprising in Nov') but after 2 or 3 laps they seemed good.

I can't wait till August now.

Cheers

What were you riding DG? I saw a few bods on Ducs but nobody I knew. I was running the YELLOW 996 with 65 on the number board in the fast group.

"What were you riding DG?"

Hi Yeti,
I was riding a black 620 Sport in the slow group.

Ah, that figures. Was vaguely aware of a 620
