Interesting reading - Maybe for future projects later in the year... Anyone have any pics of a Ricambi unit painted and fitted? Cy |
I've got a picture on the camera at home - I'll see if I can work out how to download it when I get home.... |
Here we are - picture of Ricambi unit paited and fitted.. |
..and another one. Sorry abvout the size of the files but that's how they came off the camera and I dunno how to compress them or anything like that. Bloody technology eh |
That looks really nice! Did you have the seat pad made to fit? or is it an off the shelf item? Cy |
The Ricambi ss stuff looks to be better than the ssie stuff which, just doesn't seem to fit. |
That will do me. What one was it, there seems to be choice on the web site. Kev |
Adk, where did you get it painted? |
For the seat pads I was originally going to get some sticky foam from Ricambi but then found this fella on e-bay - item no 8044117683. The only trouble is the guy doesnt take paypal so you have to do a bank transfer which is ok if you don't have a skanking bank like mine that charges you £15.00 to do it - so In the end it worked out quite expensive but I only paid about 30 quid for the seat unit itself so I wasnt too ****ed off. The seat was one of these - ebay item no 8044954220 which I've noticed on the Ricambi website for 10 euros less but Im sure you can pick them up cheaper if you hunt around a bit. You get a huge great mould line down the middle of seat but a bit of rubbing down soon gets rid of it. Oh, and a fella called Densley Charles Coachwork in Cambridge painted it for me for 30 quid which I didnt think was too bad. The place looks a right dump but my local bike shop recommended him and he did a nice job of it. |
