Here is a global view of the bike, seen from left side ... The color and design are soft ... (My own point of view ...) |
You are dead right they have that strong and suttle look, blend in with the whole package and don't stick out like a tarts' handbag. Interested yes, but the wallet isn't. thought if there was a site it would be worth a look. Bye the way, that is great looking ride. |

Step 1 : I confirm, racing bikes had an undertray independant of the rear mudguard. Step 2 : Seat handmade by myself with alcantara ... because Falappa enjoyed, by the past !!! :) Step 3 : This bike has any history !!! 100% rebuilt by myself from 100% original Racing parts, even the frame !!! 2 years and half to investigate and collect the missing parts worldwide, plus an extra year and half, hidden in my garage, to build, rebuild, adjust and bla,bla ... except paint !!! I will never restart such an adventure !!! I'm independant and my adress book is too light to be able to open the "right doors" !!! Moreover, some persons want to earn a fortune with ... a basic screw !!! |
If you're looking for a fairly basic set that doesn't look "over-the-top", try racesuppliesdirect. They have an Ebay shop and do rearset to order. Usually about £100 complete, including pegs, levers, etc. And, spares are cheap and available. Doesn't qualify for bling, though. Many club racers use them. No affiliation with me. thanks felix, I'll give them a whirl for the early 851 rearsets. cheers Neil |
From a quick try in the garage in the dark '92-7 standard SS rearsets fit (Or at least the left side one does... Can't find my right one in the dark). They move the peg position both back and up around an inch. Obviously though you'd need a longer gear lever connecting bar. I'd imagine the right rearset would be the same although as the master cylinder is mounted on the rearset itself I'd think it'd just be a bolt on job. If anyone wants me to actually check I'll do it next weekend. Darren |
yes please do - that would be great. cheers Neil |
