Hehe! You're nearly ready my young Padewon, the force is strong in you. :ninja: |
Certainly is strong. I have been to the dark side and returned...... |
In fact I have just had bad thoughts and done a bad deed. Local independent has a 748 up for around £4k which happens to roughly be the value of my two..... Email sent ;) I am sure they will tell me to poke it but you never know! |

Yes, you naughty thing! Go for it! |
Checked tonight and it is the earlier one with a single pin... |
Did you get the clutch problem sorted in the end? If not it could be a knackered slave cylinder. There was a naff batch of these fitted on bikes made around 2000-2001, but most should have been replaced under warentee by now - I've had 2 bikes (both monsters) recalled for this myself. |
Yes much! Now actually have a clutch but going into first is a little crunch. Turns out resevoir was empty hence the lack of clutch! Can even get neutral whilst stood still now... |
It may still be worth bleeding the clutch with new brake fluid. If the reservoir dropped level dropped too low it could have drawn air into the line, and it would make sense to replace the fluid anyway if it's very old. Did you loose the fluid very gradually or did it suddenly vanish? If the reservoir dropped fast there may be a leak in the system somewhere that needs sorting? |
