Your mate did a TOP work on the translation. Sometimes when I'm bored and I've got a book in my sight, I can resist to reading a few pages again and again. And average French bloke as I am, the English version makes me larf as much as the original French one.

He's a very funny guy - you should see his ebay auctions!

A complete Francophile too, organises French excursions quite often each year. We went snowboarding with him in the Pyranees (Bareges/La Mongie) a few years ago and we're off again in a couple of months for a french bike run. Last time I went (to Epernay, or maybe it was St. Quentin...) there were 48 of us - they had to split the bikes over two ferries as there were so many!

Proper British Beer????
Think I saw some Boddingtons once in the Auchan........Guiness is available occasionally........Beamish is on tap at a bar in Canet ........but it is a gay bar....depends on your persuasion, I guess.......
Cotes du Roussillon - always on tap chez nous, but I will scour the supermarket shelves for you, mate :D

With so few topics in today's posts, now is the right time for a bit of self promotion

I've got plenty of books left if anyone's struggling to find gift ideas. Btw any comment from those who bought one in that topic? Did you like it?

Met Tonio and his lovely girlfriend at Canet Plage for a drink this afternoon - Nigel now has the last of his Chrimbo pressies, and hopefully I will even get the chance to read it some time soon.....
