Keefer, the difference in opinion between you and Andy is still confusing me :puzzled::o But I'll try and clarify things tomorrow. Either way, I'll let you know. |
Let us ALL know please :D |
Called GPR, they were too busy, promised to ring me back, but they didn't and now they're closed. Anyway, rang ever faithfull JHP, who confirmed that the master cylinder bodies are the same, its only the levers that are different. Hats off to Andy the techie genius! Looks like I won't be needing a new cylinder after all! :D |

No confusion now then???:D |

The master cylinder body establishes the distance between the piston axis and the lever pivot point, so the 19x18 and 19x20 bodies are different by 2mm. |
Amazing the amount disinformation floating around... As I said above the levers are NOT interchangeable. Yes, they'll fit but you'll seriously risk the malfunction of the master cylinder. As Shazaam says the distance is different between the two and that's why Brembo stamps them differently. Do you really think that Brembo would produce different levers if they were interchangeable? Just to be sure, I measured both a 19x20 and a 19x18 just now and it confirmed that they are different. [Edited on 11-2-2006 by Felix] |

OOOooooooooooooooooh a conflict of Guru's............. |
Not really, Andy. |
So are you saying all brembo levers are the same? and its by putting them on to a 19x 20 or 19 x 18 body is where you get the ratio difference? |
