Nice one! It will feel odd for a while and you will probably have a section below the scar that will remain numb for quite a time. I had an area about 5 inch square that was totally numb and after a few months I thought it would be like that for life but 8 months later its only the 2 inch below the scar that I cant feel. Maybe a good time to get a tattoo done there while you cant feel it :D

thanks for that Martin I was wondering if it would ever come back but tbh as I had tendon and muscle reconstruction at the same time I am quite happy about the numbness at the moment as its a bit erm sore at the moment ,,, cheers Sarah

What does not kill you makes you stronger. You'll be better than before soon :)

I think they probably also injected something that keeps you numb for a few days. I know when I came round after the op my entire left upper body was numb including most of my arm. As you say its a good thing at the moment :) Hope it all mends nicely.

GWS Girl ;) ,

I still have a numb shoulder from a big off I had about 12 years ago! You'll get used to it if it remains, so nowt ta wurry aboot.

I have to say, having been in the medical profession previously, from what the surgeon said and from logical conclusion, the fact that the seriousness of your injuries remained un noticed (missed!) for sooooooo long, is to me a total **** take and clearly negligent. You may want to consider seeking an investigation/claim to assertain the long term consequences of their mistakes as well as compensation for them. They rely in this country on people feeling they need/ must just accept what can be very serious long lasting mistakes.

Really hope to catch up with you at the races this year as I'll miss ya icky thoomp humour if I don't.

Eeoop ah kid;)

Nice to see that good old duct tape is used in other places apart from a race paddock:D
