You are of course entitled to your view, but access to Assen is not a given for Desmo Due. Over the years discussions with the Dutch Club have been fruitful, but they want a spectacle that will bring in paying spectators.

Given that the 848 series format has been put forward as the basis of a Ducati Northern Europe formula, then it is important that it is showcased at that event.

But they haven't had sessions Red flagged for excessive noise or left baffles and coke cans etc strewn all of the track or ignored black flags YET, Add that little lot on top of a couple of years of less than full grids and I for one am not suprised we're not top of their Guest list
Then there was last years complete lack of interest in committing to the event by the cut off date as the numbers amounted to less than half a grid.

Still Brands will be nice with or without BSB as I didn't think we would be there this year and its been a while since I raced at Silverstone especially without the Micky Mouse chicane.

My understanding is that as Moto GP is going there, one of the many changes included removing the big old Grandstand on the outside of Woodcote and building a smaller one futher back so enabling there to be more run-off and allow them to do away with the chicane and also create a new pit lane entrance.

Now that they have secured the Formula 1 for another 17 years there may be a few more changes being planned, maybe the new grandstand will be a bit bigger/grander than planned, but still futher back as the F1 cars will find the extra run-off usefull as well as an improved pit lane entrance

got Forza 3 now and I think it has a few of these tracks..

So now we know Assen is just not going to happen how about an alternative?

I really dont know which tracks to suggest but there must be some good tracks that want an extra grid?

Mark.
(Lookking forward to a cracking year)

That really isn't a problem for me Chris, the place hates me.

Great skills on lining this up. Can't wait :)

And just as a small commment on the side.

I'm not sure that people realise how spoiled they are with circuits in this country. Considering the size of the UK, we are absolutely RAMMED with great tracks, and always have a great choice each year.

As an example, if you race in America, the geography of the place (It's huge) often dictates that you race with a single club, usually with no more than 3 tracks to choose from (unles you do AMA). I raced at Willow Springs, and their championship is held at one track...you guessed it...Willow Springs.

We are REALLY lucky. :)

Just a quick update:

I have now had a couple of calls regarding the Brands Hatch BSB round and the possibility of TV coverage.

This has not been requested by myself off the organisers, so far. We are due to meet in January to finalise arangements and I will put it on the table.

For the timebeing please assume that there will be no TV coverage of our races.

That's going to be a baptism of fire for a first timer like me! It's pressure enough having the place full of British Superbike elite and massive crowds, it's probably for the best if it's not on TV as well!
