My PB @ Mallory is 1.05.34 but reckon that will drop by 1.5 secs with these tyres and another 1.5secs with the new mind set ;).
So will be hoping for low 1.02's

My Brands DD PB went from 1.02.469secs to 58.673secs, so who knows may get into the 1.01's :D

Your welcome to my tickets Phil, I wont be there untill Fri night but I'll drop them to you or post to you if they come early enough. Glad you know what the problem is and that its fixable. Specialy at the home circuit.

I just cant get my head round the times that people are looking at. Anyone considering a 1.03 lap at Mallory must remeber that this will be approximately 1 second faster than the fastest lap there last year in Class B.

I know I am capable of 1.09s so I need to be able to do 1.05 or 1.06 regularly to take into account the new tyres. Last year that sort of pace would have seen me highly placed, this year I will be towards the back.

Just cant get my head round the new times!

Optimistic when the lap record is just under 1m03s.

With these tyres I reckon the lap record will go.... I may be optimistic with timings by the sound of it but hey......Positive thinking this year and sure I will beat my PB by at least 1.5secs so perhaps 1.03's then ;)

I thought Brands would have gone (we did get very close), but I would be quite surprised if Mallory goes. Brands has quite a few high load corners where grip counts. Where as Mallory, apart from gerrards, has corners that are quite short and swift where any extra grip might not make a massive difference. I suppose it depends on the weather and the new surface. My prediction would be 1m03s.

checked my times today from 2008 - 1'10 was the quickest with 1'12 kind of average. If I can get into1'06s I'll be delighted, regardless where that leaves me!

Agree with Mark - some optimistic views on laptimes ;)

Sam West time was super quick and on old Diablos which seem to give simiar performance to these new ones (if you look at Brands) and it will take a fair effort to beat it.

Remember that Mr Lawson only managed a 58.9 around Brands last year, and how many of us were under that this year? 4 of us were within a quarter of a second of the Brands lap record (which was a second under last years time).... So not such a stretch to say we could see 1m03s at Mallory.

I have to say "I remember that lap" and I have never and will probably never ride like that again, it was a perfect lap, in my opinion right at the edge of what was possible on that bike on those tyres. nobody else got close that day. It was awesome! I even got a power wheely on the left to right through surtees!

obviously I was hoping for a few laps like that this year :) I really should have had Listers record considering the amount of laps I have done there, even (and I mean this in the nicest possible way) Neil nearly got it and he lives 5 hours away!
