:puzzled: No I just thought I would be ultra careful and start with two more and work all the way back to 2 less! hahaha

Thanks for that, yes I think I mean 2 less!

Hugh when thinking of gearing just think push bike if its harder to pedal you change the sprocket to a larger on the rear or smaller on the front, to make it easier to pedal.
No more tips. :D

Its funny that gearing isnt 2nd nature to me considering I cycle about 100km a week training for my first Triathlon end July.

Ok, I'll stop when I get to 2:38 ;)

The thing to remember is the B record on the old 2mile circuit is under 1m24s. I don't see another mile (which doesn't seem as tight as some of the 1mile tracks we go to) adding more than another minute. I personally think you will need to be under 2m30s.

Then there are the other usual suspects such as Kev P, who has some lost ground to make up and that old codger Alan who's getting quicker all the time and has already tried the new circuit. So dispite the long circuit it could be close racing up the front of the Class B field

I didn't realize it was Neal's home track? I thought Brands was? He was good there last year though, and it is about time he bucked up his ideas! Alan was quick there last year, it is his home track, and is one of the few to have been there... So let's all follow him for a change.

I'm not racing this weekend. I'm just there for the craic! ;)

Thanks for the support but I am not there yet! Distance is 1.5k swim (in the Thames :o ), 40k bike, 10k run. The Cycling is coming on well enough and have managed to improve my running from not being able to manage 2k in Jan to doing a half marathon last Saturday.

The 1.5km swim is a different story, so far I can only manage 16 lengths of the pool (400m) before I start struggling with my breathing and become exhausted. I am booked in for a couple of lessons which I hope will help me out because I figure it will be a lot harder in the Thames dodging beer cans and nappies!
