lol go for it

didn't want to spend a £500 or a grand getting it sorted, so back on and >63hp so happy with that. Torq all over the place was worse, and where it was likely to cost lots sorting, whereas now its makes everything just a little earlier and holds it for longer

I can live with a couple bhp :D

Being 10% down last year didn't slow me too much! ;)

(So I'm sure 2bhp won't slow you too much Bradders)

and I was a lot more than 2 BHP down last year, it also did me no harm.

Ruban Xaus said it all, "Today I win or crash".
Worked for me, well most of the time.

bradders 09-Feb-2012 21:06

nope...formula is pretty simple...

big balls + stupidity + over confidence = 5 hp at least

I wasent sugesting you were down on power or he was up on power .i thought you guys were talking airboxes . weather to use one or not so my point was you can get good horse power without the air box .

bradders 09-Feb-2012 21:38

yep understand Kev, could be different if tuning ecu or nemesis v PC too.

Dyno guy said could be done, but its all about air flow, filter used, getting the trade off between whats fairly straight forward versus more complex, and for 1 1/2 hp or whatever it would be a lot more costs and the benefit did stack up.

means I have to rethink the tank - thats the only reason I was removing the airbox - and looking at how Ron's is done I'm still going to see what i can do. Worst case its an extra 2 kilos

but bike in a far better position than last year. Suspension properly done by people who know what they are doing, engine in good nick and within a whisker of power limits. And without too much complexity for me to worry about

I would load the Powercommander with the nearest map to the setup I wanted to run beffore arriving at the Dyno
At least a map for a 620 running open pipes and open airbox and make sure the throttle position was set up

Oi, I'm worried my engine about to blow now?!  I know it could do with an extra few bhp but I like to keep excuses in the bag so not going to chase the extra ponies just yet! ;)

I knew the suspension was made from solid bits of scaffolding, but that's all sorted now

was a little home made at the fromt, but the Ohlins did an ok job ;) and don't worry; I go no where near an engine!
