I am advised that Butch's baby 'R' has something in the region of 138rwbhp!-mind you that has the full race kit on-I can't wait to try it at Cadwell.

just back from a quick blast, i can definately feel the extra power. It makes a beautiful deep growl on the overrun.

handles much better, not sure how much is due to the fork upgrades and how much is due to the uprated rear spring.

very happy :D:D

:puzzled: How come a bike like a 749R needs fork and shock upgrades unless if you're racing in a really high competitive class???
What upgrades have you done and why?
What change in terms of hadling have you felt?

I uprated the spring (not the shock) on the rear as i am a fat git

I have had the suspension setup and usually both front and rear springs upgraded on several bikes, It has always made a noticable difference. The 749R had the best suspension I have experienced out of the box.

But I still needed to change the spring on the rear anyway, and the shim stack cost no more than it has cost me to change the front springs on other bikes

I probably did not need the shim stack upgrade for the forks, but it was not that expensive and I was told that it makes a big difference to the front suspension. I will post more feedback after I have taken it on track

Be interested to see what you think of the shims etc, John discussed this with me a while ago, but as I haven't ridden the bike long enough to know if I need it or not I thought I'd better get some miles under my belt before I do that
