We're camping - in a tent. Now those of you that know me reasonably well might be surprised at that but having spent the night in a rather luxurious tent at the Bemsee round in France last year, I reckon it's changed a bit since I was a wee lass, though it will obviously be the washroom facilities that make or break it. Cadwell seemed fine, we'll probably stay at home for Brands (or at least I will), Snetterton - well the whole point of that is staying around for the night. That only leaves Donny and Castle Combe so I reckon I can put up with those two no matter what.

We've been doing our research too. Millets seem the best. If you need the whole lot including beds and mats, etc, have a look at this, otherwise there's one which is called the Trent in the brochure but seems to be the same as the Tweed online, which sleeps 4 in 2 compartments either side of space in which to store/work on the bike and which only weighs 8.4kg. £120 mind you. Much better than Blacks.

From what I saw of the atmosphere at Croix, definitely the way to go.....

Much as I have eschewed all forms of canvass for the last several years, ever since I could afford to stay in a proper bed on holiday, I've decided that the spirit of the whole DD thing, putting up a tent, having the bikes under canvass, washing in cold water in a ladies room with strangers wandering in and tactfully ignoring you, having nowhere to plug your hairdryer, is all indicative of the level of support I am prepared to give to as a non DD racer.

Sacrifice, that's what this series is all about, and I'm prepared to make as many sacrifices as the rest of you!

(well, I'll try it once and if it's horrible will book into nearest Champneys for anti-canvass therapy). :D:D

can't say i've ever known a racer who didn't stay at the track - this aint a track day; you need to be there early to scrutineer and register then get ready for practice / qualifying, then change EVERYTHING in time for the first race, then wait for your results and CHANGE EVERYTHING ready for the second race, then CHANGE EVERYTHING BACK before you pack up and go home. it's all about the vibe.

Sorry to disappoint you Nick, the sponsors are unanimous in that you will have to make do with the Winnebago Vectra as it stands.:(:(

Bugga!
Oh well, if it's that black/silver one they showed us then we should be grateful I s'pose. At least it's got a shower, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, lounge.

Are they still providing a driver?
