Chillo,

where you been on the track with it?

Cadwell or Croft?

Been doing a few days in a Evo. only stock at the moment, just bolt a set of slicks on. I can get round Croft faster in the car but that is nothing to shout about. Can't compare at Cadwell cos of the bike only chicane.

Ray,
Unfortunately it was only Elvington!
great day but over half the circuit is concrete which kills your tires big style!
Good place to do your first car track day, open pit lane etc
One of the driving instructors was chasing me in a modded scooby sti spec c with slicks on, couldn't catch me but to be fair i didn't think i was pulling away either.
I managed to spin it twice in the dry and in one session when it rained! :P
There was a guy there in Challenge Stradale! sounded mint but he wasn't really thrashing it!

I'm not planning on cadwell or croft purely because of run off issues and clauses in track day insurance is daft! unless anyone knows of a decent company that does track day insurance?
Hoping to do bedford aerodrome, lots of run off in all directions and i've seen some Carrera GT's and enzo's go round there before! schwinnnggg!

ps.
sorry don't mean to hijack the thread!:saint:

pps
think i only managed to get onto 3 wheels because of lip in the track surface, i think!:)

Chillo,

Been to Elvington as well with the Javelin lot. The place is a well known tyre killer. 4 to six in one day is not unusual.
Auto 66 run clubbie bike racing on there and also used for runs up and down for F1 cars until the locals got into full NIMBY mode.

Anyone who goes at any sort of pace end up on three wheels:o the grip is BIG and road suspension are the cause. The inside rear is the favourite on an EVO.

Don't kid yerself that it can't go all Pete tong there, If the run off area is soft and you hit it sideways you could end up on the roof, experiments are continuing!
There is also the odd Gully or earth bank to look out for if you are exploring the surrounding countryside!

not been up against any 350z's yet but i know they are quite quick!
played with evo8's and sti scooby's on the road too mention but a few! everyone who thinks they have a quick car wants to play and i always oblige!
Mate was at the trackday with his M3csl and we were going round together, that is an awesome car! (induction noise like in a 360!)
Nearly got one of those but went for the porker instead:cool:

the run off at the track days run on airfields is very good but yes i was aware of possible excursions to the turf might not be 100% kosha!:o
