As far as I know in our conversations looking into this, the webteam have already looked at how much the image hosting contributes to the bandwidth used by the board.

From memory it was a very small amount - around 15% - and so removing this option would not have a *big* impact on the bandwidth.

This is why investigations are ongoing to cover all possible causes.
