Frank ...

...can we get back to riding and enjoying our bikes?

... it's a bit tricky when there's this messageboard distracting us mate - you must take your share of the blame for providing a forum for opinions to be aired

Have a good safe weekend all.

Enough, please!

Whilst I not only disagree with a lot of the words that have been used on the site recently, what is really pi55ing me off is the amount of baiting and goading we've had from a few people that are wise enough in person to know better. If you have an issue to pursue, send me the details and PROOF so I can chase it up for you. If not, give it a rest will ya :frog:

Paul are you quicker than the MT then?
My email took 10 days for a response after Snetterton and I replied the same day.
Now waiting again for a response from the chairman maybe you can help as you have been copied in on them

Mailings to the RC will be dealt with by the RC, and thsoe to the MT will be dealt with by the MT.
Seems fair enough to me, even if it does take a group of volunteers a couple of weeks to discuss an action and response.
What I asked for above was aimed at some of the rude garbage we've had posted in the past few weeks, especially the past 24 hours. I've seen lots of complaints from lots of different people as well as lots of clever "posturing" on this message board, and fail to understand why it's necessary to keep it going? A much happier club member than me said a while ago that this is a bike club FFS, and I'm beginning to think that people are taking personal attacks too far and making it very difficult for the club to work.

Jools 16-Sep-2006 19:03

I will also stand with Paul here. If you have a genuine grievance about the club or the Management Team, you can send your complaint with evidential proof to me as well and I will take it up without fear or favour with anybody, and do my level best to resolve the issue.

Of course "irresistable force meets immovable object" problems could take a little longer, in fact they may never be resolved, people might just have to agree to disagree.

However I absolutely agree with Paul, there is a lot of posturing going on. A lot of it aimed at 'the MT' as if the MT is a single malevolent entity that wants nothing more than to act like 'big brother', singling out individuals for persecution or censoring people's opinions.

That is far from being the case.

I've already tried that Jools

... you never replied to my response to your response :(

I might be going senile but I can't recall a single instance where you have requested a categoric and unequivocal reply from me. I've looked through all my email and my PM's and have received nothing from you that I have not already dealt with.

If I've overlooked something please resend it or give me a call...you have my number.

Henners 16-Sep-2006 20:14

I've checked too Jools and no reply received - I have resent the email and await your response. (I don't have your number by the way).

interesting point about the rules Frank, having not really read them (who does?!) and made me think......

how about guideline like:

1) have fun and appreciate this is a bike club as well as a forum

2) have respect for all other views, opinions and silliness

3) make banter fun and non-personal, keep this in perspective

4) only post when sober!! ( ;) )

5) keep the Club reputation as you would want your own

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????

Very interesting thoughts, it seems that there are two diametrically opposed
camps that are hide-bound in their attempts to split the club and are so focussed on thier own side of the fence they cant see the top of it, let alone see over it to the other side
Grow up the lot of you, in the words of the immortal Roy, IT'S a BIKE CLUB!
Can I have my bike back so I can get some therapy :(
