I actually quite like it. But to be honest, if the KTM RC8 spec was similar and cheaper - I'd go Orange. Just to match my mobile provider you see, in these metrosexual days it's important to coordinate whilst accessorising ;) |

Never met you Bob but you're obviously a man with taste and i agree. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in the showrooms, definately better than the 999 look. I like KTM's but think the 1098 looks better than the RC8. |
So - is this it? Pics look genuine - as though they've been scanned from an already printed brochure or press release - someone's had to produce exhibition panels and press packs in advance for next week's launch I expect - so probably a genuine leak. I think it all looks good. I just hope the tank holds more than the 999 and us big blokes can fit it. Dual headlights - I hope they're better than the 748/916 ones, especially on dip. They've gone back to 916-ish curves rather than follow the chiselled 999 look (the KTM has already taken that to the next stage - yum). On the whole, it will be enough to make me enquire on PX value on a 2002 999bp (sweet FA I expect), but don't get me wrong, I like the 999 and it was actually a braver move to launch it than to launch the 1098. Here's looking forward to next Tuesday.... |
1098 I expected to be blown away, and so far I'm not.. A step back from the 999 I think. Got passed by a MV on the way back from work yesterday. They still look fab.. |
