lets be honest Skids.... no-one on here can ride ANY of their bikes to the full potential or even 90%.... but it's all about fun :)

agreed skids I have seen many people jump on big bikes because they think that's what they need to be quick. Then they just cant handle them.
you wont learn more about cornering than riding a 125 250 before progressing

Quite right it is about fun and after a Fazer and a Monster 600 I'm sure Ozz would find a 748 lots of Fun

if you can stretch the cash ...then i suggest go for a 748R............it is by far the best of the 748 models...!

And was there not one on here for only about £4.5k recently? Did it sell?

Steve,
I’m not saying you are on a wind-up – I do believe that you believe that a big-CC Japanese bike is better than a Ducati. You’re entitled to your opinion but the price that you pay for that privilege is that others are allowed their opinion also. And on a Ducati site, you shouldn’t expect to be in the majority.

You’ve said above that “no-one here can ride any of their bikes to the full potential or even 90%.... but it’s all about fun”. So are you saying that everyone is going to have more fun on a Japanese bike than on a 748? I can’t believe that is true because there ARE people that choose to ride a 748 over a big Japanese bike, precisely because market forces set a higher price on the 748.

Ozz, go for it, you wont get so wet on a 748. :D

There a great bike I have been riding them for seven years with no big problems. You might need a new clutch around 15,000 miles and theres always the rocker problem, only had one replaced tho. Great engine, ride the torque or rev the nuts off it. :D :D

Buy it. I just got 748. Prefer riding it than monster s4. Not as grunty as 916 but hell of a hoot and looks gorgeous and corners on rails.
